I almost never post covers I’ve worked on over the years. Social is maybe five percent of the process of bringing these to life, and I prefer to let my brand accounts sing. That’s where I pour my love, that’s how I’ve always operated — brand-first instead of cultivating my own social presence (or lack thereof, rather). But this one feels incredibly special. The team worked tirelessly in a WEEK to conceptualize, style, book talent, shoot video and photo, design, write, edit, and edit again until everything was just right. I’m so proud of them, and proud of the small role I played in this.
And don’t get me started on Ice Princess @alysaxliu. She’s given so many of us hope, not just at Teen Vogue but nationally and internationally, in a time where pretty much everything is awful. ETA that right before Alysa was sent to Colorado Springs in 2021, her father had been contacted by the FBI (excerpt from the March 17, 2022 Associated Press article that was published before Worlds):

Arthur Liu told The Associated Press he had been contacted by the FBI last October, and warned about the scheme just as his 16-year-old daughter was preparing for the Winter Olympics that took place in Beijing in February. The father said he did not tell his daughter about the issue so as not to scare her or distract her from the competition.
“We believed Alysa had a very good chance of making the Olympic team and truly were very scared,” Arthur Liu said late Wednesday.

Yes, winter Olympic athletes have been invited to the Oscars! I remember Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon were invited in 2018! Apolo Ono also comes to mind! Summer Olympians have been invited to other awards shows closer to their events, like the Espys, although summer Olympians like Venus and Serena Williams have attended Oscar events as well!
