Even I might have shed a tear or two. Might.

Missed most of the first half of the Gala due to a quick trip to the local Christmas market before it closes later tonight, but from what I have seen so far, the skaters are using a lot of Russian music.

Russian Nats can be so random sometimes. Now they have the "Bonanza" title music play during the medal ceremony .

It seems to me that Russians are culturally isolated and so they often use Western music or other cultures music without knowing the context and symbolic meaning it might have for non- Russians. So the effect can be anywhere from groundbreaking creativity to utter offense to comic ridiculousness.
