Scott Hamilton & Friends Holiday Show

I was able to go to Scott’s Holiday Show tonight that benefits the Scott Hamilton Cares Foundation. There was a very nice crowd for the Show.

Live music by Cece Winans, Steven Curtis Chapman, Charles Esten, The Isaacs, Jason Derlatka and Sixwire highlighted the skating.
Skaters performing tonight included Kurt Browning, Katie Gordeeva and her daughter Elizaveta Kulik (who looks just like her Dad), Katelyn Osmond, Jeremy Abbott, Kaitlyn Hawayek & Jean Luc Baker, Gracie Gold, Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje, Keegan Messing, Mariah Bell, Alissa Czisny, Ryan Bradley and Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea. An announcement was made before the show began that Elladj Balde was not able to be there.
I might have shed a tear or two when Kaitlyn and Jean Luc skated flawlessly to Steven Curtis Chapman singing “Christmas is All in the Heart”. It has been much too long since I have seen them skate.
By far the audience favorite number was Kurt Browning and Scott Skating to a delightful comedy “Run Run Rudolph”.
Also anyone who did a backflip and Kam and O’Shea’s lifts and throws got lots of applause.
Previously Scott would lie on the ice and Elladj would do a backflip over him. Keegan got the honor this year since Elladj wasn’t there.
Jeremy Abbott did the choreography.
Katie Gordeeva and Gracie Gold were both stunning.
It was a great show for a very worthy cause.

I'm usually traveling the week of Thanksgiving so never got to go to this show before and I'm so glad I finally did. The talent was amazing--I said WOW out loud at some of Kam/O'Shea's skills and was blown away by Hawayek/Baker. Definitely will try to do this in the future!

@Sylvia got all the skaters correct except Olivia Flores and Luke Wang were added to the program.
It was another great show for a very worthy cause. You could tell the audience knew more musicians than skaters. When the singers occasionally said “Join me In singing……” my whole section did just that.
Nam Nguyen was a true ham. He paused and took a spectators cell phone and took a selfie with the guy. He stopped skating just long enough to kiss a woman’s hand.
Flores and Wang were a huge hit. The audience loved their pair moves especially the throws that Isabel landed so well.
There was a very emotional moment in the show when a video was played of some of the skaters talking about who they were skating for. I got very teary eyed when Elladj Balde said his sister was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of five and died when she was six. He went on to say that he hoped someday he would able to skate in front of a large crowd to get money for cancer research in her memory. When he found out about the Scott Cares Show he was all in.
The Grand Finale had Scott laying on the ice and Keegan Messing doing a backflip over him.
There was a nice size audience for this years show.
