She had the 3Lo+2A+2A. Plus the 3A. I don't understand how the tech is so tight even with the doubled lutz. Nothing in that program was more UR than Chiba.
If the tech panel is going to rip Amber's jumps to shreds, they should do the same with Chiba's.
Babs and PMM - the only R&J programme by adults I’ve ever liked! It may not have been in super teknik but I loved that program.
Dangerous slope you have here. Tinier doesn't mean easier to rotate. Ever. Mone Chiba is 20 years old. Not a little girl.Mark making me insane. If you weigh 45 kg it`s going to be easier to get around. Again, is it a women`s sport or a little girl sport? I had the same boredom with Mai Mihara that went on for years.

PSA: the 5th and final group of Women SP is being introduced at Warsaw Cup. Going over to watch Sara-Maude during the break![]()
Is it? My reaction is boredom. I`ve watched decades of 45kg women skating around pleasantly. Rarely relating to the music. They do get their jumps and have good use of the blade but what does it add up to, really?I don't know how it is that basically every Japanese lady is so pleasant to watch just skating around, but it's nice for the sport.
Both skaters got two q calls.
This panel seemed allergic to the < button.
First and foremost, I love all the Japanese skaters and I constantly have issue in every last competition with them looking the other way for skaters from every last nation. I mean I was the resident Miyahara rotation realist for many, many seasons while saying over and over I'd probably give her the highest PCS.I'm sure that none of the Japanese women ubers are going to be upset and screaming about a tech panel going to town on someone with a clean 3a and only one obvious jumping error in her program while another skater with clear rotation issues had those completely overlooked by the same tech panel...
Story of every last competition, too. The q is irrelevant and a way to ease the lowering of the TES score. It's ridiculous. How are we supposed to believe that all of these jumps were landed exactly 45 degrees short? It's a statistical impossibility.
Politely disagree. She didn't need to win here - a clean skate would guarantee GPF. So this wasn't a high pressure/when it counts scenario.Amber has the firepower but not sure about the mental game to win when it counts. She was basically in the same position as Alysa was at Worlds but Alysa seems to welcome the pressure and Amber tries to push it away. You can often see it on their faces Alysa seems to not have a care in the world and Amber has a bit of a worried face.

Old Amber would have crumbled after one mistake just a few seasons ago. She's proven over the last season and a half, one error doesn't create a meltdown. She didn't give up on this performance. Same at GP China with errors on the + 3T combo in both programs.
