2025 NHK Trophy Mens FS PBP - TuranDomo

I'm not really sold on this program for Lukas honestly. Sure he performs it well enough but it's the same choreography we see in every other program that uses Middle Eastern music. It's boring.

Only just got up, so I'll watch after the final group, but this is what I was worried about with Jimmy's switch. I'd be fine with these tacky crowd-pleaser programmes if they ever actually had interesting and complex choreo! Not that was likely, with a mid-season change...
It was entertaining at least so there is that. Rudy would be proud.

Pretty solid free skate for Boyang compared to what we've seen in recent years.

If Junhwan doesn't have a bonkers footwork sequence will this really be Moulin Rouge?

Junhwan CHA

Moulin Rouge. Explains the gloves.
Doubled the quad salchow.
4 tl fall.
3lutz. Not much flow. 3ax.
Can't feel much energy from him. Look cautious going into the jumps.
3luz euler 3sal
3-2 jump sequence
Spins
1 flip (and that was his last jump, says the announcer. Dunno why, that made me laugh)
Spins again. Nicely centered.

He looks upset.

Slow motion of CHA's performance.

"His shoes is having problems every week" Huh?
Takeshi Honda comments that "His body movements and steps would be more better with the jumps. It's a beautiful program."

Shun SATO

4lutz. Yes! That was sharp.
3ax 1eul 3sal

Flying camel
4tl nice flow (Honda agrees with me)

I want more POWER! It's FIREBIRD!

He throws his fist in the air.

Technically, he's not bad. Nice flow and speed. I'd say he's still lacking expression wise.

Oh Shun has developed to such a lovely skater. I really enjoy to watch him. Great performance. Will he break the 100 points for tec? :encore: :cheer2:
He is preparing for the Olympics and I really hope he will be selected

Honda
Jumps all solid. And he looked confident AFTER the jumps. His postures after the jumps were nice.
He doubled the 3 tl because of lacking speed.

LOL. Personal best.

Yuma KAGIYAMA

Wasn't impressed with his SP.

4sal close to the wall but good speed
4tl down
3lutz (good height, soft landing and nice flow, says Honda)
3ax 1eu 3sal
4tl 2tl
3flip 3loop
3ax (and he's happy)
Gah, Ina Bauer (a tribute to Arakawa, I guess)
SPins
Lies down on the ice.

Not bad! More power, elegant arm moves, sharp spins.
