2025 Skate Canada Pairs SP PBP - Carmina BOO-rana

Another solid choreographed program, same old of what I expect by now but still really nice. Best skating skills so far, jumps still MIA and he was tight on the Salchow too.

Stumble that kinda made her stick in her tracks for a second right before the lift but nothing in an element.

Ellie Kam/Danny O’Shea 🇺🇸
Coach: Drew Meekins, Sandy Straub, Bruno Marcotte
Music: Hallelujah by K.D. Lang

Triple Twist 4
3S< - Ellie under-rotated, both with a bit of turn out
Throw 3Lo - awkward landing, step out

Change Foot Combo Spin 4
Step Sequence 3
Axel Lasso Lift 4

Back Inside Death Spiral 3 (4 after review)

Ouch for her ankle on that throw landing. Trying to buy favour with a Canadian audience by using a Canadian song sung by the legendary KD Lang, but it's not going to work . . . or maybe it will with the lift set to that musical highlight - chills.

65.48 = 2nd Place

KamO - 3tw - alright; SBS 3s - she stayed upright, but I can't see her getting it called clean; throw 3lo - awkward landing where she bent her leg badly & stepped out; SBS spins - meh; step seq - nice enough; lift - good; BIDS - nice.

Wow - they really are leaving the door wide open for any other US team to skate through and onto the Oly team, aren't they? That was not good.

I'm glad Kam & O'Shea are doing a simpler entry into their throw jump though it didn't really seem to help here

So this deduction for time with Pereira/Michaud - could it be that he dropped her out of the final position and just covered it well? It looked really sloppy but that's the only thing I can figure happened, which (would have) made them go over.
