2025 Skate Canada Pairs SP PBP - Carmina BOO-rana

I feel like I have watched the Canadian team for a while now but they never seem to improve. Really like the Swiss team, first time seeing them for me.

They were very impressive. It sounds like we aren't going see them again on the GP circuit. Is there a way they can get a 2nd assignment?
Not likely in any way. They're 4th on the Alternates list behind ChanHowe (NHK), AkoRakh (no GPs since they're new) and VLDigs (SCI) and with just three GPs left and no withdrawals since Oct 7th, the likelihood of them picking up a 2nd GP this season is nil.

In the arena, the center section opposite the judges is packed. The corners are more sparsely populated and then the sections behind the judges are completely empty. Maybe that part is reserved for the federation? Kind of strange since some very good seats look empty. Reminds me of that 4 Continents in CO Springs when USFS only sold seats on the side of the arena that is on TV

Sigh. This team was on a roll last year, skating much better than their results indicated and probably the most improved skaters in any discipline. But this year I noticed they haven't been skating so well and it's REALLY carried through here. Beautiful back as always on the landing on the throw Sal.

Single Twist B* (1 after review) - invalid element, no value
2A - Anastasia fell
Reverse Lasso Lift 3
Throw 3S
Back Inside Death Spiral 1
Step Sequence 3

Change Foot Combo Spin 2

I can't remember the last time we saw an aborted twist, and yet we've had two so far this season.

-1.00 = Falls
48.85 = 4th

VLDigs - when was the last time we saw two different teams with a twist fail in different GPs in the same season? SBS 2a - down she goes; well this is a hot mess so far; lift - nice; throw 3s - very nice; BIDS - alright; step seq - all this does is remind me how much I disliked this program last season & still dislike it; SBS spins - unimpressive.

Haven’t seen a single twist outside of novices for years and then two come along in a fortnight.

Ana and Luke look pretty rough, hope it’s not injury again. And they’ve chucked Fix You and gone back to last season’s SP. Two repeats is a bit much, but both shorts were kind of the same anyway.
