Skate to Milano OWG Qualifier - Beijing CHN - Pairs SP & FS

KOrovin keeps on being completely uninterested while she waves to the crowd. I admire her consistent ability to ignore that he always makes sure to let everyone know that he would rather not skate with her and finds everyone beneath him.
You mean Gamez, right? Korovin is her partner.

Valesi/Bidar - 3tw - very nice; SBS 2a - looked short on rotation for her; throw 3s - she steps out of the landing fast; lift - nice; step seq - okay; BIDS - really nice; SBS spins - bit far apart but the unison is pretty decent.

I love how Hotarek is able to make Valesi/Bidar smile and laugh right before their skates. Great coaching.

sbs 2axel - smart not to go for the 3toe, she never manages it anyway

throw 3sal landing to low and turn out

not too bad all in all

they look happy!

Music: Suite Bergmasque, L. 75: III. Clair de Lune

Triple Twist 3
2A - Anna's jump lacked flow/speed
Throw 3S - awkward landing, step out

Axel Lasso Lift 4
Step Sequence 3
Back Inside Death Spiral
4 (3 after review)
Change Foot Combo Spin 4

Music really suits their style of movement, and they've performed well to it.

57.17 = 2nd Place

Shin/Nagy

sbs toe out of sync
throw 3 loop maybe a bit short, but good landing
death spiral???

problems with the combo spin

this is a mess
even the steps are out of sync and only level2

Shin/Nagy - 3tw - quite nice; SBS 3t - not even in unison but landed; throw 3lo - landed and she was excited at that; BIDS - ffs - another invalid element call for that! SBS spin - not great; step seq - good enough; lift - decent.

Christ almighty - this isn't even the first time this season they've lost all the value on the ****ing death spiral - it happened at Glacier Falls! This is why the USFS had zero business sending this team to this competition.

Triple Twist 3
3T - timing issues
Throw 3Lo
Back Inside Death Spiral* - his pick slipped, currently invalid element

Hand-to-Hand Lift 4

Very unique starting position with Audrey balanced on his leg, but unfortunately it didn't go anywhere as they started the program. The death spiral looks like it will remain invalid.

53.99 = 3rd Place

Schaller/Mayr
twist a bit crashy
sbs 3toes, she is short and stumbles out of it
throw 3sal landing tiny bit forward

I doubt that they will be in contention for a spot

Schaller/Mayr - 3tw - really crashy dismount; SBS 3t - she didn't even come close to completing the revolution - two footed & hand down; throw 3s - decent; lift - nice; BIDS - okay; SBS spins - meh; step seq - alright.

This team just isn't really progressing at all.

I was so worried the music was going to be a terrible cover, but my concerns were allayed. Just a few sloppy errors through the program detracting from the performance, and the technical score.

50.82 = 5th Place

He is, but apparently he doesn't know how to keep his concentration through the program.
I don't think this is his fault. The way she went into it looked to pull him off his center it looked like to me.

Definitely got a fcuk out of him when the score came up. But they have to know.
I dunno. You'd think, but they keep getting promoted by USFS so maybe he thought it would be overlooked.

All I gotta say is, at this point, I really hope the USFS has the balls to pull the SkAm spot and give it to either McBark or ChanHowe.

Gamez and partner

twist very high, nice
throw 3loop not bad
sbs 3sal, she looked a bit short
that could put them into the running.
happy for her and her perseverance to put up with him. I wish someone would slap some sense into him.

Isabella appeared to be going sideways in the throw, but found a way to stay on one foot. Not a terrible skate given some of the competitive history of this team.

53.14 = 4th Place

Gamez/Korovin - 3tw - nice; throw 3lo - she stayed up; SBS 3s - she didn't get the rotation, I'm sure, but she did stay up; lift - clunky exit; BIDS - fine; SBS spins - alright; step seq - decent. Well, that's the difference between an experienced team and an inexperienced team.
