The official live stream hadn't started yet but Ted & Mark were briefly on "open mike" doing their pre-broadcast chat, they mentioned preparations for Beijing event, etc. - I'm sure we were not supposed to be hearing it :D Someone clued in and their voices stopped.

There are technical problems with the replays - none for skaters 1-3 but they are "working on it".

Hoping they "get a grip" on the unintended open mike problem going forward :D

Mark wants a Netflix documentary on Paradis. Maybe wait till he gets out of his teens, Mark.

Rough combo, but everything else good. Into 3rd.

Eh, it's all so extra with Anthony. The overcompensation for the lack of technical firepower doesn't need the encouragement of a Netflix documentary.

Patrick looked a little hesitant and labored today, but the jumps were good, and he settled in and started to have fun when he got to the footwork section.

Patrick Blackwell just barrels through everything. I suspect he also looks up to & admires not just Nathan but also Ilia. ;)

Ooh, Khachaturian's Masquerade for Ebihara. I love this piece. And he starts with a finger mask over his face. Next time go full out and get the gloves with a face on them, kid. Yet another strong Japanese skater.

Good Blackwell came to skate today. Lots of work to do on smoothing out his skating, even the jump landings look effortful, but everything was landed and that's something!

Ebihara: nice quality basics and classic skating. Good technique today, too.

Wow, Hiro has gorgeous presentation. If he could get the tech in order, he could be a force.

Exciting that they are doing Olympic broadcasts for the ISU. I’m going to ask him about it when I see him in Saskatoon. Wonder what that will look like? I’ll be there too in Milan, would be super handy when I’m working if I can just follow along on YouTube.

They are doing the Olympic Qualifying event in Beijing - that happens next weekend :)
