Do you have a problem with teaspoons going missing at work? We certainly do.

Anyway someone sent this around at work. Posting for sh*ts and giggles.

I never had spoons disappear at work because we have disposable ones
But I had hundreds disappear when three teenage boys lived with us. after everyone moved out we had about 40 show up.

Forks, socks and Tupperware. The last one I understand, we give leftovers to friends who forget to return them.

Socks and forks for me. Although a purple scrub top went missing some time ago and I still can’t find it.

Well, one sock from each pair. I have at least five orphans in my drawer right now.
Oh. Once we got the all in one washer/dryer appliance, I have matches again.

My husband just buys the same socks. That way if the heels wear out or one gets lost in the wash, he doesn't have to match.

I used to argue with my then seven year old about "you need a matching pair of socks" until one day they challenged me: "Why? Why do my socks need to match?" And I thought about it and realized I didn't have a good answer. They are eleven now and I don't think they've worn matching socks since, and I admit sometimes I don't either! It makes their laundry so much easier, just throw socks in the drawer and don't worry about if they're a pair.

There is a whole store that sells mismatched socks.

My favorite cat story is from 40 years ago when I had two teenage stepdaughters and my mascara and eyeliners kept disappearing. Of course they were swiping them and I didn’t believe them when they pled innocent.

Until we finally bought a new family room rug and pulled up the ugly old one and found several mascaras and eyeliners along with miscellaneous pens and pencils. Turned out Casper had a thing for long skinny tube-y things.

Clearly every workplace has its own Lobelia Sackville-Baggins somewhere on the staff! :)

Sometimes I flashlight my phone under the couch because I think something has gone under there. Then I find all the missing cat toys.

Also during Covid I was doing a few jigsaws on my coffee table. The cats would play with them (eventually I had to cover the jigsaws that were in progress). When I lent a couple to my friend, there was always one piece missing. I did eventually find them under the couch. But my friends son is on the spectrum so having a missing piece was more devastating that it would be for most of us.
