We didn’t see Ashley until the number with Ye Bin and Gracie. The group was on ice when we came in, then the ice dancers, maybe Ashley was first?
Ashley was first up with Footprints in the Sand, then DC Edge synchro with You Say, followed by Cesanek & Yehorov with Come into My Arms.

When Peacock turned on, it was clear the event had started. It was a bit weird.
What time did this start? My mom and I got in the arena at around 2:30 but didn't get to our seats until 2:40 or so. Whatever happened early was already over.
The pre-show started at 2:30. I only figured it out because I overheard someone say that Molly & Yehor were in the pre-show, and then I saw skaters gathering near the entrance at 2:24. I also overheard someone guessing that it was due to timing restrictions on Peacock, and they realized they had too many minutes of programming.
Thanks for the info. I was wondering why we didn't see Molly/Yehor in the show (I know they were in the Imagine number but I didn't realize that until I watched the replay on Peacock). Grrr, Peacock with their timing restrictions.

I am pretty sure I saw USFS X(tweet)ing about the pre-show earlier that day (March 2), but I cannot find that anymore. Maybe it was a last minute decision.

An amazing honor for Sasha Kirsanov:
"Blue Hen Classic" has been an annual intercollegiate competition hosted by University of Delaware, where Sasha was a team coach for nine years. This year's event held a tribute to Sasha this past weekend.
The loving remarks/anecdotes about Sasha as a coach and as a person already were making me emotional ... and then I was completely blown away when one of the speakers announced that the name of the event will be changed to "Sasha Kirsanov Memorial Classic." ? ?

I just received the spring issue of Skating, featuring Legacy On Ice and the 2025 US Nationals. There are so many beautiful photos of competitive skaters for these events, and also has an in-depth article describing the lives of the skaters who were lost in the tragic accident.
It is definitely a keeper for me.
It would have been nice to have the copies at the USFS booth in Boston, as they used to be, which might have helped to increase interest in the FOFS membership (and also to remember those lost in the accident).

Agree, but I do not believe the magazine was printed in time for worlds. Probably took too long to write.

I hope to attend this as it's an easy Amtrak ride and the rink is about 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Sort of a non-update, but in case anyone would be interested:
This morning (Thu May 29) the legacyonice.com page temporarily was visible to the public (such as random me), although no longer true, at least as of this moment.
When I happened to check a few minutes after 10 am ET, it said, "Tickets on sale! Thursday May 28 [sic], 10 AM."
(But the ticket tab was not functioning. It was not actually possible to make a purchase.)
Most of the bits that I remember seeing on the site were covered by the PSCHS announcement and/or news reports.
FWIW, I did not see any ticket prices on the Legacy site, although mentioned in the CBS report.
Legacy site clearly said that portion of proceeds from Philadelphia will go to USFS family support fund (which was only implied in news reports, I think?).
Other than Liu, Levito, and Weir, no additional cast names were given on the Legacy site -- just something general about more skaters to be announced.

(Bold added.) I wondered what portion would go to the USFS. $100 ticket price seems high. I think $50 would be right for a benefit. Are skaters being paid?

As only a layperson (definitely not a lawyer), I wonder whether "portion" is just normal legalese for this type of fundraiser?
FWIW, non-judgmental comments to be taken with a grain of salt, please:
I am 99% sure that I did see the word "portion" on Legacy site for Philadelphia.
BTW, not what you had in mind, I think, but I do not recall seeing any other recipients for Legacy Philadelphia, which maybe(?) wants to focus on skating families? Whereas the original Legacy was for the benefit of other 5342 families too, as well as first responders. When the Legacy site becomes available again, I will take another look.

Yes, $60 was the cost for the lower bowl seats in DC, the upper sections were $30 or $35, I think.
Someone elsewhere did point out that the owner of the arena in DC donated the facility and it's likely UPenn is charging its normal ice rental fees, so that could explain the higher cost. But if the tickets "start" at $100, I assume that means the closer seats are even more.
I suspect the skaters are not being paid, although their travel and lodging/meals are being paid for by the organizers.
The announcement was a bit odd. It said tickets go on sale but no info on where/how to purchase. Thank you, @ice coverage for looking into it. I actually forgot about it this morning. The announcement also didn't mention who was sponsoring/producing. The article said it was the second in a series. Zakarian produced the first one but it doesn't sound like he is doing this one. Agree that things feel odd. As if maybe the announcement were premature, and all ducks are not yet in a row??
I neglected to say earlier that as a footer at bottom of Legacy page today, I saw "U.S. Figure Skating" and "Entertainment Gang" listed together.
Not that I know who "Entertainment Gang" is, but I just looked back and found that it also was involved in producing the original Legacy.
I suspect the same.

Hmmm, well if "Entertainment Gang" is Zakarian, then I guess he is involved. But I would think, given his experience producing skating shows, that he would have a ticket purchase mechanism set up before any announcement. Also wondering if that increases the chance that Ilia will perform.

The two types of tickets (details explained at the link above) are:
$275 for "VIP Experience"
$120 for "Silver Level"

I remember reading an interview with Auxier that the plan was to shut down the support fund at the end of March, although I see the link on USFS website is still active. He said that the long-term goal was to establish a fund in the crash victims' memory and use that to support athlete development (since they were developmental athletes), similar to the current Memorial Fund.
Note that the second show is at 6 pm, not 5 as stated previously. Which makes sense if they're going to have both pre and post-show receptions for VIP ticketholders. It says that the show length will be 90 minutes.
Not sure i want to drive or train that distance for a 90-minute show. I think i'll wait to see what other skaters are announced.

Thanks, good to know what Auxier said. I was not previously aware.
It makes sense to support the worthy cause of athlete development.
Not that my opinion matters, but I guess I wish that the tribute shows in Philadelphia (which I'm sure are well-intentioned) had their own identity/title.
I think the original Legacy on Ice was so special, in multiple ways, that it would be nice for it to stand alone as a unique event. JMO.

Can't tell whether or not live music is implied?
Between that and the "Legacy on Ice club" with merch, this is definitely sounding like an Ari Z production.

Not liking this at all. The website is super-cheesy and over-produced. There is no information on General Admission tickets. I don't like that the "Entertainment Gang" is at the helm. Call yourselves something different.

I'm not familiar with this rink, but are there sections/seating areas other than the ones marked Silver or VIP on the map? There are some outlines on each end of something, but not clear if those are actual seats. Silver and VIP may be the only options, unless sales are going slowly and they decide to lower the price of some of the seats in the Silver section.
