2024 Finlandia Trophy Free Dance PBP - Thank You For Being a Finn

So were those voiceovers or voiceinners? i.e., was the talking part of the song or added?

Lim/Quan

Pretty good one foot steps, nice, consistent spacing on twizzles, dynamic straight line lift, only level one from him on step sequence. He needs to either elevate his expression or greatly improve his edge quality so he can contribute more to the team (he does have good, secure lifts to be fair).

I really feel like Hannah has progressed way beyond Ye. Do we think Gage Brown could be a good partner for her?
Last season it seemed like he was catching up with her, but he hasn't seemed comfortable in any of their events this season. Probably all the back and forth to Korea hasn't helped to get in a really solid block of training.

Yes, you need better.
The choreography doesn't fit whatever angle they are going for in Cruella at all. Some -- just some -- of the elements are 'cool' such as the spin but it's not really placed all that well. And I totally agree that they have him in the background the entire time and she has to do most of the work. With that, there aren't many transitions, there are pockets of emptiness, and the concept doesn't go anywhere.

IMO it' a very average, mid-level IAM program. Not as bad as what Fabbri/Ayer were given or what Soucisse/Firus would've been given if they stayed, but it's still very meh. They used to STAND OUT.

I know it's not a sad song but Juho smiling away through this middle section is just so out of place, lol.

Orihara/P

They seem kinda typecast in their FDs. This is where the ISU rotating actual, precise themes like waltz, polka, tango in the RD would allow skaters to build their skating vocabulary and let us see if teams have range to do different styles.

Joyous performance and they feel like much more of a team than the Koreans.

Pirihara either need to change their opening choreo, or get Maurizio to record a new voiceover narrating what they are actually doing.

They are always super entertaining, but I still feel like this is Chicago redux, but less well done. Not sure if they were just a bit cautious today, but they seemed to be holding back a bit until the last music edit kicked in.

Fun. Performance level is high, composition I wouldn't say is the most difficult.

Not a fan of the simple assisted lifts. I really just want to see more skating and less posing around center ice, but so many of the choreographic elements call for that.

What fun! I just love watching Yuka and Juho. He is SOOO entertaining. I can't stop smiling when I watch him.

I vote for Maurizio :smokin: as the narrator.
