2024 ISU Congress Agenda

FFS - apparently they're moving onto the ID Tech Rules package but we aren't sure what's happened with Singles & Pairs.

Ari Zakarian talking - he's saying that he's getting messages from people all over asking him what's going on and telling him it's a hot mess. And Benoit is shutting him down, telling him to keep his comments limited to the ID Tech Rules package.

Shawn explains that this change proposed in 247 has been in the IDTC Communications for about 5 years now so this is just formalizing it. Finland still objects therefore we're voting on the objection.

ID Tech Rules - objection failed. Synchro Tech Rules - no objections.

Back to the Singles/Pairs Tech Rules - they're discussing Article 16 as it applies to the Tech Rules package, I think.

Okay, so they need to consult with the ISU Council to decide whether or not the FS Branch can discuss potentially delaying the Singles & Pairs Tech Rules until 2026-27. They're going to do that during the lunch break.

Oh, Benoit is giving Ari a chance to speak before they break for lunch - reconvening at 1:30pm.

Ari is asking if everyone understands that they're proposing to reduce the jumping passes from 7 to 6. I mean, I think everyone gets that - yeah, I'm with Benoit on that, lol.

So now they're taking their lunch break? From 11:15-1:30....enough time for politiks, I guess.
Well, Benoit, Pat and Susanna have to go explain to the full ISU Council why the FS Branch is acting like a hot effing mess and get permission to allow the FS Branch to discuss delaying implementation of the sweeping Singles/Pairs Tech Rule changes, lol. Might take a bit of time there. ;)

what do these people even have for lunch for it to take two hours and fifteen minutes? grass?
How many conventions have you been to? Most conventions that I've attended (usually have about 200-250 people in attendance) usually have at least 1.5 hours for meal breaks, sometimes longer if the preceding session finishes up early.

You are attempting to tell me this is a convention and not a make-shift yard sale run by 5 year olds stacked on top of each other dressed in trenchcoats
