2024 ISU Congress Agenda

And Canada isn't happy.
I don't think they're unhappy about the delay in 245 but that the Tech Cmte is now saying they'd be open to the Congress delaying implementation of the entire package until 2026-27. They're questioning what authority the Tech Cmte has to do this.

I did, what does "integrating AI" and "updated version of current judging system" mean.

What AI are they wishing to integrate
From what I recall about Benoit's report yesterday - they're looking at AI to assist in evaluating jump rotations. Not sure what they mean about an updated version of the current judging system though.

Well, the FS group needs to vote on that, right?

Canada wants to re-open the discussion about 239 & 240, I think - they're unhappy that the Tech Cmte basically shifted course overnight because a handful of people objected yesterday. I'm not sure that more people wouldn't have objected to the entire package yesterday had Benoit, Michael Geistlinger (legal) and Fabio not seemed hellbent on shutting down any dissention.

The President of Cote D'Ivoire won elections with 95% of the vote in 2020, it is possible for things like this to be democratic, go go go!

Oy - and now the USFS is withdrawing their objection to 245 since the Tech Cmte agreed to delay implementation until 2026-27.

Soooooo - Tech Cmte withdraws their proposal to delay implementation of the tech rules until 2026-27 because legally they can't do that. And now Ireland is asking to reconsider 239 & 240. And Michael G is telling her no.

So if they're not going to delay implementation, then it becomes a vote on whether to implement now or reject entirely?

According to Karen-W, 245's implementation will be in 2026-27.

I'm guessing it's going to be staggered, depending on the rules.

Well, as @On My Own said below, they've agreed to delay 245 but the rest of the package would be implemented immediately. And I have no idea what the sentiment of the Members are at this point because some of them are pretty peeved at not being able to go back and reconsider 239 & 240 - also possibly for delayed implementation? Benoit asked to take a 5 min break (it's been longer than that already, lol) - which I'm sure is an effort to settle things and get everyone on the same page before voting on the entire package.

IDK why small feds would be grumbling about 239/240 though. But then I'm not watching.

Politiks must be taking a long time, they're still on break.
