My thinking was that the IDF wanted to disable the infrastructure, so that Hamas could not operate.I don’t understand it but I’m no military strategist. They want chaos so people turn against Hamas? Starving them doesn’t seem to accomplish that.
Or is it just that the thirst for revenge is so strong that every tool will be used to punish Gaza. If that’s that case, it’s both awful and shortsighted about what comes after.
