Bet the Russian officials wish they'd stuffed a sock in her mouth.

That's exactly what I was coming here to say.Would be hilarious if Sotnikova's foot in mouth syndrome leads to her being stripped of a medal.
Good for the Korean fed. Time to shine a spotlight on Sochi.Yonhap News Agency article today (July 11, 2023):

This may be rare but I see no need to bring it up Now. There was a precedence in 1991, when Marina Klimova failed a drug test at the European (I think), but her B sample cleared her and she and Ponomarenko were allowed to compete at the worlds. They lost the title to the Duschenays but they were allowed to compete. Sotnikova's case could be similar.Yonhap News Agency article today (July 11, 2023):

However, Rodchenchov didn't expose a doping scandal at 1991 Euros; however, he did expose a scandal at the 2014 Olys! This may be rare but I see no need to bring it up Now. Really? Why?Of course, no mention of the Sotnikova drama over at Goldenskate. Any Russia related controversy is off limits over there.
Stop with the gaslighting strawman arguments. Noone said she "admitted" to doping. In her YouTube video (which has since disappeared) she refers to a positive sample in 2014, and being cleared by the "B" sample.Because maybe the articles being written lie about what sotnikova said and people here are talking about lies like they are facts!! The lie being sotnikova is going all around Russia saying “I’m a doper ha ha ha!’ I doped!!”
She's right about one thing. Nobody can take away her experience on the podium. Any comment from the Americans and Canadians who didn't get their experience with the podium in 2022?Adelina has commented on IG
No, that's not what happened. Gaslighting! But it turned out to be a problem with the test tube, scratches ..
Did no one tell her to get her story straight? She's only hurting herself more. And when we talk about it, and in passing, we say so - "I was told that they found doping on me." Yes, they said.
But it turned out to be a problem with the test tube, scratches ..
Not really - Junhwan Cha and, as you noted, Gilles/Poirier are missing from the Worlds medalists; weirdly all of the 4th place finishers except Stellato-Dudek/Deschamps ARE included, lol.So are the skaters in the pool the only ones who are subject to random testing?
It looks like most medalists from Worlds, Euros and 4CC are included, plus JW champs, but not all. No Gilles/Poirier, Brandon listed but not Alexa (maybe she officially retired/removed herself from pool).
Maybe "registered" means higher ranked?
The following criteria determine the Skaters listed in the ISU Testing Pools, either Registered Testing Pool (RTP) or ISU Testing Pool (TP). [Question: What is the difference between the two pools?]
I don't understand why some skaters are selected and others are not. Shouldn't all current skaters be subject to testing. Not really - Junhwan Cha and, as you noted, Gilles/Poirier are missing from the Worlds medalists; weirdly all of the 4th place finishers except Stellato-Dudek/Deschamps ARE included, lol.
Euros medalists - Siao Him Fa, Britschgi, Repond, Hocke/Kunkel, Turkkila/Versluis
4CCs medalists - Messing (presumably retired), Shun Sato, Yelim Kim, Chiba, Chan/Howe, S-DDes, Fournier Beaudry/Soerensen, Lajoie/Lagha
Jr Worlds - all the champs are there (Miura, Shimada, BarTiou & the Mrazeks), but none of the other medalists - Rossi, Yoshioka, Jia Shin, Nakai, Golubeva/Giotopoulos Moore, Sierova/Khobta, Lim/Quan, Bashynska/Beaumont
The Russians included are an interesting list - it would seem to indicate that any "comeback" plans that Shcherbakova is hinting about in the media are just meant to keep her name in the news and have no substance behind them; same with any similar talk surrounding Trusova. I do find it a bit interesting that Stepanova/Bukin aren't on that list since we know they've resumed training, etc.

Why would Aymoz be included he wasn't on the podium at Europeans or Worlds, but others were? Why not Adam , Cha , etc...?
Of course not. It's simply impossible. I don't mean testing during competitions. But it is impossible to test ALL active athletes all year round.I don't understand why some skaters are selected and others are not. Shouldn't all current skaters be subject to testing.

I guess this is public information that should be published. If you can't do everybody, why publish the names?
I think the explanation posted above is very clear.I don't understand how the names are chosen.
