No interest in watching this commercial event. Just reading bits - ILIA great and USA way out ahead of Korea & Japan! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
USA 50 pts, above (2) Korea at 39 and Japan (3) at 36? France 4th with 43 pts.

Any chance that WTT will ever happen in the USA…or is this mainly a Japanese Ca-Ching?

Replay IS now available for 2 days. :)
And for those who can access it, the videos are available on the ISU YouTube channel - that's where I'm watching the Women SP that I chose to sleep through :)

Gorgeous program for Haein! The only nitpick I have is with the caramel-colored bun cover/scrunchie she's got in her hair. That was distracting me through the whole program, lol.
I think the bottom of her hair might be that color now? I watched something someone here posted about a mini video of Team Korea and one of the ladies had hair with the last 6 inches died a blonde color. I assume it was Haein?

Just went back and watched it (some one posted it in the other WTT general info thread). It’s definitely Haein.

I know Isabeau has issues, but I'm highly irked that Kaori had a higher TES than Isabeau.
I haven’t looked at protocols, still trying to catch up from watching overnight but I thought both jumps in Isabeau’s combo looked suspect.
ETA: I just checked the protocol and her 3T in the combo was called under.

It is 9pm there, the ladies are probably tired and the pairs and dancers have to compete tomorrow as well. Jason may have just skated but he and Ilia have tomorrow off.

It is a bad look, though.
Not only that, this competition is mostly for fun, and the Japanese fans is what keeps this competition happening (and paying them the $$$). They should really have more people there than just Jason.

First time going for one of the bigger quadruples jumps that I can remember. Good event to get that type of element out at. The rest of the program was really good.

I hope Malinin considers keeping this program for next season. You can see how he clearly connects to this program, and keeping this program that he's comfortable will allow him to focus on developing a free skate to go with it.

105.90 = 1st Place (100.38 at Worlds)

Frankly? No. It was in Dortmund. It was a thank you for holding the event medal as far as I remember the skate and the competition
Fair enough - I thought that was the medal that Winkler/Lohse got, but it could have been both of them.

That was true for every team there, but Team USA was the only one that had their box empty out like that (as far as I could tell). It really was weird.

Lindemann was on fire in Dortmund. I don't think he'd ever skated as well before or ever again, but he deserved that medal.

Do any of you think the scoring here should be different when factoring in the points allotted to pairs and dance? When you really analyze it it really comes down to the single skaters… As far as amassing points.
