Actual conversation last night:

Earlier tonight as Layla was getting ready for her tball game, she and her dad were having a conversation.

Layla : "Can I hang out with Ben and Andi when I get home?"

Dusty : "No. They will be asleep by the time you get home. It will be way past bedtime. And then once your game is over, Mommy will talk A LOT to everyone she knows."

Layla : "I really wish she would stop doing that so much."

Dusty : "Me, too, Layla. But she won't. Welcome to the rest of your life."

If we are laughing at ourselves, I was taking my daily walk the other day, while reading my phone, and a teenage yelled at me for doing that (because I almost walked right into her)!

I needed to be admitted to the hospital recently. I was at PCP on 88th Street, Lenox Hill Hospital is on 77th. Fine I think, I’ll just summon an Uber and be there in 15 minutes. PCP, of course, says just sit her and rest while I call the Ambulance Service. Duh, what was I thinking? Of course, he’s sending me by ambulance! Smacks head.

I really should post this (not as a joke) on my city's chat page. They made a joke out of a meme of the monument that said "what was that boom" because people are always coming on there to ask if anybody heard a boom. I said it wasn't funny because it was a real monument. Some of the people said it was good because it was a satanic monument. Others said it wasn't funny. The usual Qnut said they found the blood of children sacrificed to gaull (I forget how she spelled it?) on top. Cue the twilight zone music. She has attacked me personally before - Walt Disney = pedophile and goes and on and on with off the wall things that don't have anything to do with my comments. And keeps bringing up how glad she is that her mother stole my job (which she didn't - her boss retired and they had to place her in the job that I was doing on top of my own after an admin left and we became friends) 27 freaking years ago. What? So, I did not reply to her. She proceeded to say that I was working with the devil and I was a witch. (Um, I brought a silver cross necklace when she had a jewelry party, not a pentagram.) And she was a truth teller and God is watching and "you better......." Scares me to death. Can I just copy the part about the 8 track tapes and stuff? hee hee hee

ETA - "BOUGHT a silver cross". I didn't "bring" one to hunt vampires. ha
