I too wanted to see Sasha win, but after watching how Anna skated, I have no complaints. Anna deserved to win.

Her PCS are much higher than they should be, she should not be touching a 9 or an 8 if you are using the criteria properly.
The pre rotation thing is valid but they are all a bit guilty of that. I’m sorry it wasn’t even close today, she didn’t deserve more than a silver, her skating is littered with weaknesses. Her place in the short was not right either.
If we want to make it into a jumping contest, then ok I genuinely would be fine with that. The ISU should seriously consider some sort of jumping event, I am not joking.
She's been hosed over so many times. I really liked her style with Plushenko and the Rus Fed hosed her over. It seems like they pass her over for everyone and one fall on a triple axel in the short isn't that big a deal under this system especially with all the quad jumps she can do.

I was pulling for Trusova. I love her personality, her fire, I find her exhibitions to be a lot of fun.I am very glad she was able to do her quads and I hope with time she will get over this disappointment.
On a level of personal taste,, I just can't believe that out of all the phenoms that came from Russia these last 4 years, Trusova, Valieva, Kostornaya, Eliza, ,etc. It's Scherbakova who became the champion. She has absolutely no presence or personality at all as a performer. I guess she did what she needed to though

Anna had shown again and again that she has nerves of steel and a champion's heart. I am not surprised that she won the OGM.

I take nothing away from Anna's nerves of steel ,and I think she's a very lovely person. I don't dispute anything of her win considering Sasha's SP.
She just doesn't do it for me as a performer.

I feel for Sasha. Her life long dream died in the front of the world. We literally saw a 17 year old grieving that on screens.

I watched the medal ceremony. Sasha looks happier and calmer. Not thrilled, but she gave a little smile. She was also cheering for the pairs today.

Vika and Nikita doing a better job of supporting her then the adults on her team for sure. They always seem to know when their younger teammates need them. I think they spent a lot of time with Anna during WTT last year.

Yeah sauce is 5 quads an electrifying powerful stunning staggering free is staggering freescape was worthy of a gold medal. But anesthetic was also golden.
I hope sasha calms down and comes back. But I definitely see why not winning big gold medals the last 3 years has frustrated the hell out of her. 1st it was alyona then Anna and now KV and Anna again. It's hard to believe there could be 4 super girls like that it's not only in one country but in one rink.
Sasha came back to TT to do that 5 quad program at the Olympics and she did. She should be very proud.

Sasha was fantastic. Those five quads would have won her the gold if 1) she didn't have a few errors/negative GOEs, 2) Anna had been slightly imperfect. It was very close. I would love to see Sasha win the Worlds next month. She should still be proud of what she accomplished at the Olympics.
After her initial outburst it seems Sasha calmed down. She seems to enjoy her time there. She seems to be talking to Eteri again. Eteri was discussing her exhibition number with her. I have seen photos of Sasha with Evgenia and Vladimir. They seem to spend time together. I hope she realizes that an Olympic silver medal is a huge accomplishment.
She looked so cute as Jasmine, in Morrisi's Genie program! She even wore Zhenya's SP costume. Her Wonder woman exhibition was fun and she seemed to enjoy performing It in the gala.
I am sure she is happy to be back with her family now. She was missing them and her dogs too. I am sure everyone needs a little rest now.

I like her Gala performance, but I would like to see her skate to "Whip My Hair." She has plenty to whip! Amazing. She must have never cut her hair since babyhood.

Sasha's is the longest , but it seems like the Russian women all have very impressive hair length. It is quite trend among them .

The problem for Sasha and it's a fair point is that she hit 5 quads while Anna only hit 2. If Anna hit 4 only 1 less than sasha then Sasha could probably accept that easier. I look at it like this sasha had an all time incredible monumental performance. Right after that Anna had the greatest ladies skate in Olympic history.
It's certainly a tough call and you can make a case for either lady. But I don't blame Sasha for being frustrated she's waited years to win a gold medal at a big event had many practice sessions canceled because of the virus had many championships canceled because of the virus including 2 grand prix finals and the world championship. Her frustration was real.
Hopefully she and Anna can still be friends but if not I think we all understand why.

Even if Sasha had landed the 2A she could not have made up the difference. She needed to land the 3A in the SP. That's why she always went for it.
