Notice that except for Shaun White, he's the only one who has a full 1/2 hour to himself!Nathan filmed a short segment for Panasonic's Champions for Progress campaign.

Team USA Media Summit schedule is up and Nathan is scheduled for Monday.
I think Nathan does too (typo): Monday 5:45-5:15 p.m. MT should be -6:15 p.m. MTNotice that except for Shaun White, he's the only one who has a full 1/2 hour to himself!
Yes, I meant Nathan.I think Nathan does too (typo): Monday 5:45-5:15 p.m. MT should be -6:15 p.m. MT
I was told he's not doing a pre-Skate America media call so this is the one media opportunity before he makes his season debut in Las
Vegas.
I think it's okay to list what's printed here in his fan thread :Skate America digital program. (Don't read page 7 if you don't want to know about his new programs!)
Looking forward to seeing his first practice run through via Peacock online tomorrow!Nathan Chen
SP: "Eternity" and "Nemesis" by Benjamin Clementine
FP: Mozart medley
Choreographer: Shae-Lynn Bourne
No, I didn't know either. That programoooh, did everyone besides me know that he was skating to le parc
1 / Nathan Chen just texted me with some more info on his music. The Mozart-based remains work in progress in terms of the Apashe section: "We originally added the `that was Mozart' drop but it actually reduced the energy in the end. . .
2 / "The rest of the cut we found differed too much from the main melody of Lacrimosa and no longer remained recognizable and so ended up with the version I have now. . .” (more).
3 / "Again, as with all things, we are using this competition to learn, so if it doesn’t seem quite right in competition we’ll update for future competitions."
Jackie Wong's tweets re. Nathan's FS music: https://twitter.com/rockerskating/status/14512720596951654404 / On reprise of Nemesis for the short: ”Everything up until last step sequence is new. Just revisiting Nemesis for the step sequence. Will be done with all jumping passes before nemesis kicks in.” Most of the short is from “Eternity” by the same composer, [Benjamin] Clementine
Another one: https://twitter.com/rockerskating/status/1451272791756468230Chen told me he's been saving Mozart for the Olympic season: "I watched Amadeus a few yrs back & was drawn to the music. It's the perfect season to finally skate to it. Each section allows me to tap into diff styles of my skating - from ballet to contemporary to modern movement" ...
"We actually listened to the remixed version first and were really excited with how it sounded."
Nathan Chen's FS layout this week:
4Lo 3Lz 4F3T 4S 3A 4T1Eu3F 4T3T
10 photos from his Friday practice: https://www.instagram.com/p/CVWLeqGvNEQ/"Shae and I originally didn't even consider Nemesis, but the end of Eternity wasn't strong enough, so we played Nemesis again while we were looking for more pieces & we were like, 'yep that's it, that's the one.'
Hmmm...SA...not a good start to the season but the best time to have a bad skate and learn from it. He has a great coach.Wishing Nathan two great skates at Skate America, excellent health, and the most successful season (and Olympics!) of his illustrious career!
He fell in the short at Worlds last year.i honestly don't remember the last time i saw nathan fall in competition. such a shame cause i like this short program. i hope pulls through with the free skate!!
I agree with this. I don't think he needs both in the short. I'm sure they will be playing with his jump layout.Yes, he fell at Worlds on the same 4Lz in the SP. I personally feel putting both 4Lz and 4F in the SP is overkill and he should just pick one plus the 4T. IMO, the extra little bit of BV from doing both isn't commensurate with the added risk and I would rather he just do the WTT layout with 4F and 4T.
