Excerpt:
Their performances will be supplemented with a variety of routines provided by other skaters, including children. Think: Skating with fire and comedy routines, among others.
The starting number, set to the song “Seasons of Love” from the musical “Rent,” is sure to tug at everyone’s heartstrings, said Scott Irvine, the producer of Sun Valley on Ice.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome back the world-class ice shows this year,” added Irvine. “It’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience that features the best skaters performing under the stars in an unparalleled setting. As we’re emerging from such a difficult year, we’re excited to come together and experience the collective emotions of the skaters and their performances.”
This year’s Sun Valley on Ice will look different this year due to the pandemic. Grandstand sets will be sold in pod of two, four, six and eight to allow for social distancing.

Craig Heath has just shared a group photo on the Sun Valley outdoor rink with Nathan, Ashley Clark, Kim Navarro, Erin Reed, Angela Wang, Harrison Wong, Jason Graetz, and Sun Valley on Ice producer Scott Irvine, plus a second photo of himself & Nathan: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ4I97VLE7V/

Local articles:
Excerpts:
Irvine and show choreographer, Stephanie Grosscup, are back to give audiences a slimmed down show relative to previous years. There is usually a cast of 15-20 skaters, but because of the smaller cast (11-12 skaters), Grosscup is allowing each skater to come up with their own theme. [...]
One of the show’s closing numbers will be the groovy and always fun “Dancing on the Ceiling” by Lionel Ritchie. [...]
... international skaters Natalia Zaitseva of Russia and Harrison Wong of Hong Kong area also on the team.
... Ice show veterans Anita Hartshorn and Frank Sweiding, and Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre will make their long-awaited return to Sun Valley.
With a smaller cast, the show will also have an opportunity to showcase the younger talent with the Sun Valley Kids’ number making a return. Irvine said around 14 youngsters will make an appearance.
“The kids will steal the show,” Irvine said. “It’s always one of the cutest numbers. People get to see the origins of where some of the skaters come from.”
Since 2015, Irvine and Grosscup have spearheaded the show, which has grown in popularity each year. A former skater himself, Irvine grew up as a competitive figure skater in Bountiful, Utah. In 1996, he hung up his skating career and eventually made his way to Sun Valley. In 2009, he took over as the rink manager.
Grosscup taught skating here for 22 years through 1998 and helped build the skating program in Salt Lake City that led up to the city hosting the 2002 Winter Olympics. She was on the choreography team for the Winter Olympic opening and closing ceremonies.
She was also July 3 headliner Nathan Chen’s first skating coach, teaching him for two years when he was the reigning U.S. men’s singles champion.
“Stephanie is fantastic for the ice shows and me,” Irvine added. “She has a big history of Sun Valley. I think it’s great that she has the opportunity to mentor some of the skaters.”

Ryan Bradley has been added as the headliner for the August 7th show.

Stephanee Grosscup wasn't tagged in Craig's photo but here is her touching Instagram photo/post with Scott Irvine (L), Nathan, Erin & Angela: https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ4YsaYLkOY/
Okay this happened today. And I have to say I am having a very proud skating coach, surrogate Mom, mentor and friend moment.
4 of my former students are here with me. All 4 of them are incredible humans. All of them accomplished. All of them smart, kind, athletic, creative, humble and motivated. All of them visionaries.
Each one has significantly influenced the sport of figure skating. But mostly each one has significantly influenced my life. I’m so grateful to be in their lives.
3 of them are skating in the show tonight. One of them is the director of everything that has to do with this magnificent ice rink.
I’m so proud of them.
I’m so very very grateful.
Thank you life. Thank you Sun Valley Resort
:)

ETA: Grosscup choreographed many of Stephanie Rosenthal's memorable programs, including her well-received "Rockit" SP at 2006 U.S. Nationals.
