Foods/Drinks You Have Tried and NEVER AGAIN!

Chicken Feet. Not enough meat and I'm not a fan of chicken skin in general especially not fried.

ETA I will probably try them at least once more though. Just in case it was just that one restaurant and how they prepared them.

Chicken livers. ugh. (We ordered them at an expensive and good restaurant, too, so it wasn't that they were badly prepared.)

I have tried sushi several times, just to see if I could develop any kind of taste for it. So far, no. LOL.

OMG I love frogs' legs.

One thing I never could and never will is intestines. Though I did have beef heart once and it was delicious.

I know of someone who is a land surveyer and works in the far Canadian north. She was treated to an Indigenous dinner, including whale meat and seals' intestines. She said it was horrible.

I enjoyed frogs legs too. They taste like chicken mostly.

I also have had pig intestines. It wasn't to my taste but if I had to, I'd eat them again.

A particular brand of soy yoghurt. It was disgusting.
A recipe for "healthy" pasta sauce I tried off the internet one time, based on avocado. Two bites and the contents of the pot went in the bin and I ordered pizza LOL!

Taro and breadfruit - we had it a lot in Samoa and I just struggled to swallow them no matter how they were cooked - well deep fried chips were okay.

Rabbit. My sister tricked me into eating it, and afterwards I spent an hour trying not to

Century eggs. I read about it and really, really wanted to try it. I am not even sure how I can explain why, because it is not as if black eggs look very inviting... ok, I am happy that I tried it, but now I know that I really don’t like that! The egg white was actually not THAT bad (relatively speaking), but the yolk was deadly!

Tequila. I was 16. Never again.
For me it was screwdrivers---- It was my first experience with hard alcohol: I had to work the next day and my father was so angry and made sure, sick as I was, that I was not going to miss getting up early and heading to work. And then I was grounded. Live and learn. I was off of vodka for a long, long time.

I don't hate squid ink: But I hate looking at it so I'm not interested in eating it. And offal--I loved watching Anthony Bourdain but never understood his love of offal---his respect, yes---but generally the taste?? Not so much...

When I turned 21, my best friend and I headed to Las Vegas. In our MGM Grand hotel room we mixed up vodka with Tang before heading down to the casino. I have never been so sick in my life. For years, I wouldn't touch anything vodka and orange. I can drink real screwdrivers now, but I'm way older.

Tongue, I think it was beef tongue, my mother made it about 4 times per year, served w mustard sauce. YUK.

Tongue, rabbit, escargot, alligator, squirrel, liver, oysters, kale, avocado, blue cheese, root beer, beer, rum.

Papaya - I love pretty much all fruit but I just hate the taste of papaya.

Peanut Sauce - I had a bad experience with peanut butter as a child. Weirdly peanut butter doesn't bother me now but peanut sauce takes me right back to the 4th grade .
