So he creates a nasty quarrel himself. What are the reasons for his other comments?

Confirmation of official club/venue transfers (some are just formalities without coaching changes):

Diana Davis/Gleb Smokin: club change only. Ex "Avantgard Olympian" into "Sambo-70".
Anastasia Spielevaya/Grigory Smirnov: club change only. Ex Oly Res. Club #4 to "Avantgard Olympian".
Aleona Kanysheva: club change. Ex "Sambo-70" to "Avantgard Olympian". venue chng: ex singles to ice-dance.
Anna Frolova: club change. Ex "Snow Leopards/FSO Hockey Moscow" coach Panova - to Club "CSKA" coach Davydov.

First of all, nobody invited him to participate in any discussion, let alone start a "nasty quarrel" about a topic that had nothing to do with him.

Second of all, the time to think (if he was even capable of it) would have been before he posted something hateful. It's not the first time, nor the second, nor the third.

Third of all, it's very tedious when you try to defend him. He's not misunderstood, he's not just impulsive...he's a miserable POS and this is not brand new information.

I said nothing. This is just his own opinion - nothing more.

He doesn't think before speaking. You are right.

(Sorry, it is night here. I'm going to sleep.)

I thought Yagudin was busy cleaning house?

Anyone know what Rippon is up to these days?
:argue: ... there goes the thread. :gallopin1

So according to Reddit, Yagudin is on another rant on insta. Can anyone translate? How vile is it?

It's not that simple. There is a sequence of not so pleasant ( :D ) comments and exchange. The whole story is called "Who talks too much when not required"... :D

1) It started with an issue "Women who menstruate" vs. "People who menstruate" (given there are transgenders who are now "women" but don't menstruate, and "men" who are former "women" and still menstruate.)
JK Rowling's issue. She jumped in out of the blue and made unnecessary comments.

2) Adam Rippon had to jump in, used a nasty profanity towards Rowling, and introduced for some reason "Black transgender lives matter".
He said (I am translating from russian site): "I have donated 1000 dollars to OKRA project because lives of transgenders do matter, also lives of black transgenders matter. JK Rowling can f*** her self in the a** with her dumb opinions and comments" (I don't have a link of his tweet).

3) Alexey Yagudin had to also jump in and used a nasty comment (in defense of Rowling, given his kids love her books). He said in connection with Rippon's comments and all political correctness issues in the West. He first quoted Rippon (in russian translation) and then said this:
"Terrible, disgusting, annoying/tired of it!!!!! I am not against it (transgender issues) but keep us out of it (but don't need to drag us in)!!!!! There is cxxxxvxxxxx and then there are you (left-wing or nutty justice warriors) and it is the same thing/the same evil".

4) Then seems like something happened in terms of comment exchange (i can't find it), and then Yagudin also posted this: "When will you parish (croak)??? A nature's mistake!!! (Earth's mistake - verbatim)"

Not sure thinking and Yagudin belong in the same sentence...

And there is a grammar mistake in Yagudins vomit. I have never seen him doing grammar mistakes before. WTF is he drinking? Brain softener?

Yeah, if even a fraction of the stories I've heard about him going all the way back to the 90s are true, this is an interesting hill for him to choose to die on.

Why did he even decide he needed to post about Adam? (not that anything would justify that post, but it seems so out of the blue.) Because Adam posted about BLM or in support of trans people?

Yagudins skating remains one of my jaw-dropping I-love-this-sport examples, but I've always felt since seeing his banana program years ago that he didn't give a damn about being closed minded. It's a shame.

Ahh. I read JK's tweets. Seems like an ideological conflict between principles of feminism and the concept of gender not existing. If gender doesn't exist neither does feminism or discrimination against women etc etc etc. An interesting philosophical argument, a worthy topic for a womens studies essay but not one that belongs on twitter.

It's probably heady intellectual stuff that it is irrelevant to the way regular folk experience their lives. ie. No one wants to be discriminated against for either being trans or a woman. Both forms of discrimination are real. It's also possible to say that for some people gender doesn't exist but also that gender defines a life of discrimination against women in some place in the world. These things can co-exist.

The issue with those ideological, theoretical debates is that people (i.e Yags) just hijack it for base discrimination or miss the point entirely. Or that they are just pointless discussions.

Rippon used too many F words for a theoretical debate. But nobody cares, I don't know why. Maybe because he is a gay and JK is a straight woman, not vice versa.

Honestly, JK Rowling was probably inciting an argument and she got one. People make careers on social networks making spicy comments to garner attention.

Now, if she wants to look at it from the perspective that gender can define lifetime of discrimination, violence, disadvantage etc etc Why pick a fight with trans issues? She has the reach to directly support womens shelters, domestic violence programs, fight against honour killings, support womens health etc etc. Those women who need help don't give a toss about some ideological definition of their gender.

She needs to leave the whole trans thing out of it. An intellectual debate on theory helps no one. It's just looking for a fight on twitter.

This is OT, but Rowling's tweet this time is not an isolated event at all. She has been posting and liking anti-trans content on Twitter for a long time, starting with (IIRC) liking a tweet referring to trans women as 'men in dresses' in 2018.

She later said she liked this accidentally, but given her subsequent posts about trans people I guess this was not so much an accident. I won't call her latest tweets 'an intellectual debate' either. She's probably simply transphobic.

Aliev's first days of training. Jumps a quad.

Voice over: "Hallo everyone. Today is our first day of training. I have not been on the ice for almost 3 months. While i was waiting, i set a challenge for myself to do a quad in the first training. So guys, i want to say believe in yourselves, in your abilities".

I’m not surprised at Yagudin’s horrific comments, but that doesn’t make them any less terrible.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I love J.K. Rowling’s writing style, but her comments were transphobic and this isn’t the first time she’s said something awful like this. She is a public figure with a platform, and she shouldn’t be able to just spew this hateful nonsense to all her followers - especially since many of her fans are children. As a children’s book writer, she should be inspiring kids to treat each other with love and kindness.

Adam Rippon definitely had the right to call her out. His wording was a bit unpolished, but nothing he said was wrong. As an LGBTQ+ activist, it’s only natural that he would speak up when someone speaks against trans people.

As for Yagudin...that man needs to get a better hobby than hating everyone who speaks up for human rights and common sense. Seriously, man, try baking or something.

Here’s a long interview with Zhulin for Russian Figure skating federation

Most of the topics have already been covered in his previous interviews.

He's trying to sell a narrative.

Very revealing interview with respect to the power balance within the couple and the general attitude towards women in the Zhulin Katsalapov team.

Now I understand why I really like P/C, V/M and W/P. There are certain intangibles that you feel in the spirit.

I don't understand something..How can be someone transphobic? Because of religious reasons? Is Rowling so religious? Or what? I believe the transgenderity is totally personal feeling, decision no one is hurted by them. Many times most of the people don't recognize who is that.
