I have known this song in Russian for a long time. I never knew there was a French version of it. I had heard an English one once.

I would love it if they did some Russian folk music as a competitive program. I know a few exhibitions but not many competitive ones (like Irina Slutskaya's 1998 LP). It certainly gets the crowd going and they look so charming skating it

Didn't they skate to Ochi Chernye last season? It was their SP, although a "modern" (jazz?) version of it.

They have that tingling kind of spark and chemistry, combined with bravura technique and undeniable charm. The sp gave me a happy face and a feeling of abandon and joy. Thanks to the figure skating Gods for a rare pair who have the promise to exemplify why pairs is the divine discipline.

All the best for today, I can't wait to see them develop hopefully with better costume and more interesting music. After S/M retiring and the French sitting out part of this season, wasn't much into pairs anymore but they got me excited again. Plus if T/M can get it together, it could be a great Russian rivalry pushing each other to greatness. Ok getting overexcited now
