This is painful to watch

Alexandrovskaya has seemed rather disoriented for much of the performance. Taking a long time to recover from each error. Very slow, too.

The throws really got her this time.

After those falls she must be pretty battered

Ugh poor Katia, I don’t think she recovered from that second fall. She looked really dazed. That was so rough to watch

It sounds like she may have suffered a concussion, so I can't vote for this one.

I am going to wait and see if anyone pulls a rabbit out of the hat and posts links to videos of those for which we have only protocols. Paniot's protocols suggest that he would be a worthy winner, but I am leaning toward Kovtun, and probably the SP. The sound of one person clapping at the end and the sulking in the Kiss-and-Cry are the icing on the cake.

Paniot had an almost identical FS at GP JPN iirc, just he turned the singles into doubles
(the video is on the isu stream mentioned above too, for those who can watch to get an idea for CS USA)


I have to use all my power for Samohin! Going out there and skating deliberately a SP 3:17min long, that has to be worth something! With choreo and all! (I was a sucker for this neverending steps). The usual salmon-quad-splat additionally should help too.

Yeah, gotta go with Samohin. His car-crash skating means he's posterboy for a reason, but getting the recorded time of your music over 30 seconds too long, leading to THAT many deductions... it's like falling alone wasn't enough for him. He had to raise the bar. Congrats, Danny, you sure did.

It has to be Poster Boy. 3.17 min short program, it's just too epic. When it happened, I wrote something like that #ttw always expect Poster Boy to deliver, and we've seen a lot, but a 3.17 SP not even us hardcore fans could have ever imagined.
