Survivor - Ghost Island

Probst choking up during Angela’s daughters entrance. That doesn’t happen much if at all.

I figured Chelsea would go because she has been invisible all season, but I don't get not taking Wendell out when the opportunity came along.

I caught that too. A rare moment of unfiltered human it seems.

I'm actually liking Wendell again at this point; I think it was ballsy to give up a reward to go for an advantage when you feel that you are secure in a majority alliance. It shows he's still playing to the end. And Kellyn's whining about how one of the girls could have been on reward with their family member annoyed the sh*t out of me, as she so often does. Sure, one of you could have been on reward, go ahead and win it you worthless twonk.

I could never play this game. I just don't understand their logic sometimes. :shuffle:

The women offered Laurel and Donathan fourth and fifth place. They already have a top four finish with Dominick and Wendell. The women are oblivious to what is going on and did not make a good enough offer to Laurel and Donathan. If Angie knew how to play the game, she would have gotten Laurel and Donathan alone and said, "with us, you have a top five finish and with the two of you and myself, we're the final three". Any of the women could have offered that to Laurel and Donathan. It didn't have to be true. They just had to offer something irresistible. None of them figured that out.

With the men, Donathan and Laurel can pick off the women and then go to Sebastian and say, "we have a top four deal with Dominick and Wendell. You're out as #5 but we would love to have you go to the top three with us."

I think we didn’t see a lot leading up to tribal council tonight. Seeing what a chatterbox Donathan is, I have no doubt that he clued his four-person alliance in on the girls’ plan to get rid of Wendell and he probably warned Wendell that he would play along up until he actually didn’t write his name down. That’s the only way I can see Wendell not feeling the need to play his idol.

And I still have a feeling that Angela is going to be the odd one out that gets one of the Dom/Wendell or Laurel/Donathan group to realize they have a guaranteed (more or less, not forgetting the new rules) top three when they are down to five or even the six vote. Something about the way she’s been portrayed all season makes me think she’s either a big part of who makes the end or maybe even the winner. And taking Dontathan with her should help that cause, I’d think.

Now see..... YOU understand this game. I never woulda figured all that out. I'm like 'get out the strong, popular people'. You need to go to auditions and get on this show!

The editing is off this season.
Tony - I think you are correct.
And the faux reactions at tc when Donathan said the naviti were cracking. Wtf- what we saw was that it is true- Chelsea’s and wendell’s Names were mentioned, and not once were we shown Laura or Donathan being discussed.
And Sebastian is so not winning.
Hopefully the rest of the season will be good, there r good opportunities for various combos of 3 people to move things forward. Good game play the rest of the season can save it.

Early skandal for next season: Survivor contestants violate NDA

For those who don't want to spoil, it's two of next season's (which just wrapped filming) contestants posting a picture of themselves together on social media. Although no hint of how far they got in the game, it does show there's some sort of relationship and it's apparently a definitely violation of their contracts.

I don't know which one Kellyn is to know. All the girls are the same to me!

There's three women. One is black. Of the two others, one has been playing Survivor (Kellyn) and the other...seems to be inspecting logs...or...something (Angie). If you can't tell the difference, I'd like for you to be the official floater in my top three when I play so I don't have to worry about you taking any votes from me. :P

Well, now that Kellyn is gone, I actually was kind of hoping it would be stupid paranoid Donathan last night. Ok, so no, if they really are plotting against you, you aren't being paranoid.....but fact is, if you've decided to make a break and go rogue because you don't trust who you're allied with anymore, why spend the ENTIRE episode letting them know?? Wouldn't you play it stealth until the tribal council blindside? Oh yeah, and best quote of the night: "If you're going to blindside me, I'd like to know". That boy is a hole shy of a donut.

That boy is a hole shy of a donut.
Love this. Same as a taco short of a combo....
What a bonehead move. At first when he was talking to Wendell - I thought he was trying to get Wendell to take out Dom. Wrong.
sebastian speaks. He and Angela are such nonentities. If one of them makes the finals - could they win out of spite?
I like Laurel - but is she being too passive? Somebody better try to get out Dom/Wendell - if they want a shot.

Have we ever seen what happened in the IC? Wendell not saying he was done and Laurel stepping in.
The way Wendell was talking - it was like he thought Laurel would pass it back to him or it should be given to him.
Pay attention to details - if it requires a verbal "I am done" - and you didn't do it - you do not win.
As an Amazing Race viewer - no sympathy. To non viewers - they are given written clues/instructions and not following them results in a penalty - example - walk to this place and they take a taxi.
Also I have read that what we see is nothing of the challenges - they are there getting instructions and able to ask questions - sounds very meticulous and time consuming.

:blah: With the immediate "OMG what happens now!" thrill I got of wondering how they would break the tie, once Jeff said Laurel picks the winner, I knew she would go with Wendall. I think Dominic played the better game, and had the better Final Tribal, but with how wrong I am about pretty much everything else in this game, I'm sure others will let me know how wrong I am. :P

I already hate the Goliath team just from that little clip we saw. I'll be rooting for the Davids. :P

And Jeff, for the love of all that is holy ........ please.shut.up!!!!!! I swear he was giving me a headache. I don't know how anyone actually manages to do any of those challenges with Jeff yammering and yapping the whole time. :P

Chris at tribal council to Domenick: "There's still a mutual respect I have".

Is this the first time the final three had two people of colour?

I guess I just don't understand why they let strong players get to the end. It's mind boggling. And I also hate when contestants control the game and get super nasty when someone else dares to challenge that control. I get that Wendell and Dom played the game well, but the look of entitlement on their faces when Donathan dared to challenge them was so annoying. This season most of the compelling contestants were voted out early, and I am sorry that we didn't get to see more of them. One of my least favorite seasons ever.

I'm happy Wendell won, but yeah there wasn't any big move to get out the top dogs. I blame the fact that there are way too many idol/advantages out there. I'd like them to limit those a bit next time, but Survivor seems to love them for the drama.
