I see Adam managed to squeeze in a Drag Race reference there ("Your tone seems pointed", Willam from S04 Untucked). Considering both of them are big fans of that show, I expect a lot of RPDR references from these 2 as the games begin!GMA - Mirai's part (setting up a "not-so-friendly" rivalry with Adam?): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHvQWCslMZ4&t=4m0s

"We need your help coming up with a [DWTS] team name. Hit us up": https://twitter.com/mirai_nagasu/status/984886811506995202April 5 (UPI) -- With the Olympic Winter Games and world championships behind her, U.S. figure skater Mirai Nagasu has a little more time for one of her favorite reality shows: RuPaul's Drag Race.
Nagasu, who is on a national tour with Stars on Ice, told UPI in a recent interview about her impressions of the new season -- which continues Thursday -- and some of her favorite queens.
ITA! I'd definitely love to see what Mirai's competitive programs would look like if she could loosen up a bit while still maintaining the necessary focus -- which is easier said than done, I know! And who knows; now that she's been been to Olys again and landed the 3A there, maybe she feels that she could/should focus more on the performance aspect and expression. In one of her interviews (quoted in Sylvia's post last page) she seemed to be saying something along those lines. In the Access interview, Mirai says she thinks DWTS will help her skating. I hope she will continue for at least one more season to show some of what she learns on the show!

During the Olympics, I thought if she went on the show, it would help her tremendously in terms of her PCS score and her competitive mindset. It would help her perform more facially and discover new strengths in her performance. And now that she's had a chance let the disappointment of her post Team performances subside, it should motivate her to achieve more of her dreams.

ETA: A fan made this twitter thread that has the Alan/Mirai IG live video archived, among other things
Nagasu, who labeled herself a terrible dancer, said she's grateful that partner Alan Bersten is tall so they can try lifts.
"He's the best," Nagasu said of Bersten. "To connect with my partner has been a challenge for me, but I don't turn away from a challenge."
"I have never been more excited. We have great potential," said Bersten, who praised Nagasu's work ethic. "I didn't sleep last night because I was thinking of some really cool tricks."
...
"It's nice to be in the off-season but have a new goal already," said Nagasu, who got to meet Harding, the first American woman to land the triple axel, Thursday. "I'm excited to compete against (Tonya)."

Monday, April 30th 8-10 pm Eastern time is the premiere on ABC (live from Los Angeles).Where (city) is this competition taking place and at what time?
I am not a regular DWTS watcher so I have no idea.
Hope she continues to skate competively! Absolutely love her energy and just like being able to follow a skater over the yearsWhat a lovely honor for Mirai!
