What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

I've heard that everyone here likes to talk about food so let's talk about ice cream. My favorite flavor is butter brickell. It's a great treat to have after my weekly tennis game and after I play softball in the New Mexico heat. What's yours?
 Is that before or after a crocky, beefy dinner?

My daddy knew the man whom invented the Butter Brickel flavor, a chef from Omaha. The chef said he would never share the secret with anyone, the recipe is buried along with his shambling corpse!

As for me, I like fruity things. Tutti fruity, something with big pieces of bananas, tropical pina colada, a big two scoop cone I can lick it for twenty or twenty five minutes!

Remember the joke when we were at the Basking Robbins in Albuquerque and you were so excited to get your Sunday that the person working there said it reminded them of a kid who was so excited to get ice cream after a big sports game and we both laughed so hard! And then you said that ice cream is fun even for adults, everyone thinks so and it's your second favorite thing to eat after fish tacos! HAHAHAHAHA.

I like vanilla, coconut, chocolate chip, cinnamon when I can find it, and that Waffle Cone thing from Ben & Jerry's.

I actually just went to Nardo's ice cream in Newark, NJ last week. Had coconut ice cream with real coconut in it, with jimmies on it. Lovely.

Sometimes plain vanilla or chocolate just hit the spot. I also love chocolate chip, cookies and cream and peanut butter and chocolate. No fruit for me!

Blue Bell Pralines & Cream
Blue Bell Chocolate Mint
Blue Bell Rocky Road
And the one I totally love has to be in season and only sold at certain stores. My brother found it for me at Walmart Supercenter on E. Bert Kouns in Shreveport.

Blue Bell Mardi Gras King Cake

Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, Pistachio, Orange. The cookie dough alone, the pistachio or orange with chocolate. but not together.

I hardly ever eat ice cream.

But in recent years I've had both pistaccio and white chocolate, and both were divine.

In my parents' city in France, there is an incredible ice cream shop with dozens of original homemade flavors. My favorites are coffee and cognac ice cream ( it's a city not too far from Cognac so ...) and liquorice. I also like crème brûlée with lots of little crunchy bits in it. As for a more classic flavor, real vanilla which should look yellowish with black spots is a must especially with a shot of espresso :summer: I miss summer, the only time I eat ice cream because nothing can compare with those ice creams.

When I was a kid, we invariably went to Baskin-Robbins for ice cream, so some of my longtime favorite flavors are from B-R: Mint chocolate chip, their World Class Chocolate, which is like a mix of light/dark chocolates, and their Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate. (I've still never had a better peanut butter/chocolate ice cream anywhere else.) My parents' favorite B-R flavor was Pralines 'n Cream.

Sadly, there are no B-Rs in my area, so I don't get to go there much anymore. Around here, my favorite flavor is Mocha Chip (coffee/chocolate ice cream w/chocolate chips).

In sundaes, I usually just go with vanilla, as it's the best contrast to sauce toppings.

Once in a while in New England, you'll find places that serve lemon custard ice cream, or some variant thereof. Unusual, but delicious.

I love peppermint stick. Sadly where I live, it's only available during the winter holidays. I did make it homemade with my KitchenAid and it turned out really good.

Pavlova ice cream is to die for.... :swoon:

I also like vanilla with a chocolate fudge swirl and chocolate with a marshmallow swirl.

Haggis flavored..........I'm kidding! Just seeing if you're paying attention :D I'd say coffee, which is odd, because I never liked the beverage.

Pralines and Cream, Butter Pecan, Black Walnut, Vanilla, and Cookies and Cream. Is that too many? And sherbert....I love orange, pineapple, or raspberry sherbert with vanilla ice cream. I’m feeling a little gluttonous....running to see what I have in my freezer......

Only in the summer -
Banana Split - Walgreen's used to have a really good one.
Tiramisu gelato (Does that count? It's not as cold on the roof of my mouth as ice cream. Kroger used to have the little tiny Haagen Daas <sp?> containers for $1.)
Rocky Road
Mint chocolate chip with chocolate sauce
Cherry Cordial
A few summers ago, Kroger had root beer and cream soda flavored ice creams - Homemade brand. The cream (or is it creme?) soda flavor was really good. Saves from having to buy vanilla ice cream and creme ? soda separately! Never saw them again though.

Lotta "used to"s, but Ben and Jerry's used to have a White Russian flavor that tasted just like the alcoholic drink. Yum.

I can have Häagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry's "Cookie Dough" and "Vanilla Pecan" anytime. I mean, even in winter, a scoop (or more) of ice cream won't hurt, especially with a good crumble or profiterole (with homemade choux pastry of course).
A few years back, I also tasted a delicious black sesame ice cream in Florence. I've tried the flavour at other places since but it wasn't as good as the Italian one.

As for sorbet, mango and passion fruit.
