You're welcome. I'm no insider though. Just long years of reading whatever was published about french figure skating, FFSG, declarations, stories ... It helps to spot patterns, arguments, trends.
Like this
2010 article where Gailhaguet trounced Joubert in the press during the Olympics and said he should be "open to the world", ie leave Poitiers. So by 2018, dots are easy to connect.
Nobody understands but he has locked himself inside the federation.
In 2012, Candeloro said
in a tv show he wants to become president in a few years but that he wants Gailhaguet to "give him the fed" because if he overthrows him, Gailhaguet is going to be a constant troublemaker.
He was a constant trouble maker between 2004 and 2006 when he was revoked from the FFSG. He used Joubert to make a war against the guys who were at the head of the fed, to make them look incompetent.
He got a guy he supported elected in 2006. But the guy wouldn't be a paw and didn't invite him back into the fed. So he made a coup a year and half later and got reelected.
And he has locked the system since then.
He started to go after them loooooong ago, both Haguenauer and P/C
They are used to that and they are very independant-minded.
Haguenauer can do whatever he wants.
The problem is P/C and their funding. My hope is that they find a good sponsor so money wouldn't be a problem. While they are away from family and home, they can't afford to have late transfers, or battling with problems from the FFSG.
