2017-2018 Program Music and Choreographers

Nice attempt from Lori, but I still don't really like it. Weaver/Poje always look good though and make it look almost respectable. My friend saw the musical on Broadway and said it was one of the worst things she ever saw, and the skating routines make me believe it.

"What... Something about WeaPo... and Ghost... Oh no no no can't be!?!?! " :yikes:
"But what happened to Spartacus..."
*goes to previous page* :scream:
*massive sigh of relief*

You almost gave me a fit, y'all!

 my apologies! No 'Ghost' for Weaver and Poje everybody (but I would be fine with it, because that's my favorite program of theirs so far), I was just trying to show that a good program to the music can be done.

I'm sure Lori Nichol has something better in store with "Spartacus". :kickass:

Yuzuru will do 5 quads in the free skate, the music is Seimei but with new music cuts (as that movie has a very long list of songs). https://wherespacepooh.tumblr.com/post/163950208929/yuzuru-hanyu-2017-18-media-day-master-post

I guess this mean 4lz will appear.

Because he does 3A2T then 3A as the last jump. With 5 quads and two 3A, I think he will show a new quad soon.
I was hoping he would do Seimei. That is totally my favourite long of his...It is so powerful & gripping it will find every single drop in his tank and then some.

I confess myself rather disappointed that at the crunch, Hanyu has simply gone back to the recycling bin. A third repetition of Chopin and a second repetition of Seimei.

Yeah, I feel the same. I'm sure he has his reasons, and I'll still enjoy whatever he puts out there. But I really wanted something new & original. And brilliant. (It's not like he isn't capable of it. I think there's little limit to what he can do.)

I like that he's doing something with a Japanese feel for the Olympics, he didn't nail this program at Worlds that year and it'll have a new music edit (so it'll probably still feel fresh). His audience in 2016 was only 1/6 of the audience he'll have this season, it's going to be a brand new program to the Olympic audience.

I also loved that program so much that I just don't care that he's recycling. It worked a lot more than any of his other LP's did IMO.

I have two minds about it. One part of me thinks it's super lame no matter how devotees spin it. The other part really likes Chopin and Seimei and am glad that an Olympic audience gets to see it. Plus, it's brave to do a Japanese theme in Korea from what I hear.

I can't imagine skating to my own singing. I think it'd freak me out. But if he can, more power to him!
Whoah. That does take a lot of nerve!

OTOH & IMO, a lot of the cover versions skaters use aren't that great, so...
At least he's not skating to the Bubble guy. (No disrespect to Bublé fans out there. Different strokes, De gustibus non est, etc etc.)

How Nancy Kerrigan of him.

You beat me to it! I freaking love Adam Rippon, what. a. diva. :glamor: that is the gayest thing I have ever heard of, and he is a :rockstar: only Adam can do something so self absorbed and it's awesome. :respec: I'm also really looking forward to seeing his beautiful LP again.

Katarina Witt also did it, but she just hummed some notes. You just know she would've done a full-out disco pop star theatre production if they'd allowed vocals back then! :cheer:

Doesn't this have potential train wreck material? I mean it doesn't fit any of the competitive record standards, but it can be a different kind of train wreck. Or it could be the greatest thing ever. Or neither.

:cat:Oh just let him be miserable. Blah blah blah blah blah  yap yap, yay La La Land for Kitty. :p:gallopin1

"Not doing the same" or "thinking outside the box": Jason doing "Hamilton", Nathan's SP to music I've never heard before, etc.

"Self-indulgent tripe": skating to your own voice, unless you are a trained, professional singer, in which case, yay, Adam, you have skills I didn't know about.

And I stood up for Adam's "Saturday Night Fever" routine last year. This, I can't even, :wall:

He must be trolling us.:glamor:
