At this point it's not the 3A the issue, but can she land the 3a consistently along with the other triples?

Sounds great! Where can we see it?I just watched Mirai's exhibition program that she did for the Jeremy and Lucy Barrett benefit show. It is to a song called Body Language. I've never seen Mirai go for sensual/sexy before. The choreography is quite good and she is marvelous (though not the jumps). Glad to see her tackling something out of her comfort zone so successfully! I loved it.
Here's the handy post in the GSD thread that lists all the skaters and start times: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...arrett-to-fight-leukemia.101145/#post-5098561Sounds great! Where can we see it?

Did it ever occur to anyone that she posted it because she's worked her ass off on it and is proud? It's her personal Instagram! People post silly pictures of everything including their meals. Why wouldn't she post her accomplishing something so wonderful ?
I just don't understand the hype game in Tom Z's camp, I think it's his biggest weakness (even though he really knows what he's doing and is a fantastic coach in general).
You have to put yourself in position to make the team before doing that, she's still 4th best right now. Let's not get ahead of ourselves like last time. Let her performances speak for her, not your own hype and social media politicking (which adds a distraction and extra expectations that don't need to be there). I'm so over it!!!
Her skating can hang with the best of them on her own merit.

Thank you! That is such a winner! I love it. I'm sure - well, I have a strong suspicion, that performing like a grown sexy woman for the first time ever (not to mention letting the introduction of her as National champ and Olympian get to her) caused her to lose focus on her jumps. If she can get over those two things the Japanese fans are going to adore her more than ever - and so are all her other fans. I'm hoping the inspiration for this EX came from her new Jeff Buttle programs... ie, that we'll see Mirai performing like this in competition. It's the last missing piece.
She went for axel at Skate Detroit but barely under rotated. One day!
