My husband is back in the hospital

This time he is hospitalized under medical, not psychiatric. He developed severe akasthia (uncontrollable body movements) from one of his psychiatric medications and the treatment prescribed by his POS psychiatrist only made the issue worse. We went to the emergency room yesterday with Steve's blood
pressure spiking at 172/104. He was admitted and underwent a MRI today to rule out lesions or other cause. So far none of the medications administered have helped with the akasthia. The ER pumped enough sedatives in him yesterday to sedate an elephant but it barely touched the surface of Steve's condition. Please pray for him.

So sorry to hear this. I'm also sorry to hear your husband has a crappy psychiatrist. . . I hope that situation can change! Hope they can get things under control.

So sorry, Judiz. Having uncontrollabe movements must be very distressing. As the condition is medical rather than psychiatric, there will hopefully be a solution, and he'll be able to get a psych med that works better than the one that caused the problem.

This must be soul-crushing. I'm very sorry and hope they can figure out what's going on fast. You are both in my prayers.
