2017-2018 Program Music and Choreographers

I hope he does better for her than he did for Liza.

My hope as well. Pity cause her programs at this past test skates were her best competitive programs she's had in her career, IMO. So sad she dumped them :(

Don't worry, by the Olympics, it will be completely Igor-fied with an overabundance of arm throwing and Chock tossing.

Well, how else is she going to make it through a step sequence? :p. Ok, that was mean. I acknowledge that she's worked very hard to carry her own and has been capable of hard transitions into elements like that underappreciated transition into the twizzles in their SD this season that they had to take out because it made no difference in their scores, and I respect all the effort she put in. Plus, it's not as if she's been making the mistakes in the past two seasons.

Anyway, between Igor and Christopher Dean, I expect much wear and tear on Chock's body after being used as a prop all season as they like to do for their female ice dancers for their choreography.

There is a lot of waltz in La La Land, so it makes sense for dance. Not sure how I feel about it for C/B.

There is a lot of waltz in there, but five bucks says they go with "A Lovely Night" for at least part of it. Just today I was thinking we'd probably see some dance team or other grab that one!

Maybe not. *crosses self, spits on ground* :saint: I think they worked with Dean and Rohene Ward all through this season whenever changes were made. They will need Igor's touch to get their levels, though.

Jason Brown, who has expressed interest in skating to Hamilton, tweeted pictures of himself and his team at the play.@jasonbskates
I don't even think that's skatable. Nice idea though. As long as he doesn't play Lafayette :)

It's been skated to and Lin-Manuel Miranda himself seemed to appreciate the performance. :)

whats going on with this choice these days? Toth just did it.

Was there a movie that came out or something I wasnt aware of?

Loved Toths SP but the Rigby program...oh boyyyyyyyy......

The music might work better as a pairs short program, you just never know. I'm willing to take a wait and see approach on all these new programs.

Nate Bartholomay posted his and Deanna's music:

SP: Eleanor Rigby choreographed by Rohene Ward

FS: One and Where the Streets Have No Name (U2) choreographed by Mark Pillay

So funny. I just heard "Where the Streets Have No Name" on the radio the other day, and thought, "This could be interesting music for skating, surprised no one has tried it yet." :)

I like their choreographer choices!
