I will have to go on record to say I think Will Smith did a fab job in Concussion! The football controversy angle may have had the Academy shy of getting too close to appreciating that film. Although there were so many great films and acting performances this year.

I saw Concussion on Kodi a few days ago. I have yet to see The Revenant though. I'm kinda scared to ... I feel like I have to be in the right mood for all the darkness and violence. But maybe Leo's performance is uplifting.


I want Jennifer Jason Leigh to win!!! Come on! Or Alicia, but not Kate.

And it's Alicia. Well deserved, but JJL has had such a remarkable career. Not too many opportunities come along, and certainly this is the beginning for Alicia and she will have many more opportunities being younger than JJL.

Alicia was also great as a robot in Ex Machina.

"The Martian" is not the kind of movie that wins an Oscar, but it was one of the most entertaining movies I saw this past year.

I really enjoyed "The Big Short," too.

I kinda like Jared Leto's red trimmed tuxedo and red flower "bow tie". Something a bit different from the same old boring black and white tuxedos that all the men wear every year.

I was thinking that Margot Robbie didn't look nearly as good as she usually does. Then I realized it probably was because of her makeup and hair.
