DH popped up after not having seen the rest and pronounced them perfect. I think the bronze is going to be close. And I respect their going in an unexpected direction.

ETA I missed the Finns’ score and of course there’s no updated wedgie.

This is going to be one of those strong technical teams that get in the way of interesting teams aren't they? I mean fair enough it's sport but damn...

Mrazeks FD 109.75 Total 177.8 5th

Can we like them now? :saint:
I like them just fine, just not this program, lol. I expect more from them! I want them to live on the edge of danger like they did last season!
If I am right Car/Poms walk away 3rd in the FD so that's good news, that is a really good FD.
Yes, I think the FD is a really great vehicle for them and very well-received by the judges so far.

swanning only gets you so far these days I guess but I like their program. I do think they have some issues with turns though. They do this real weird jerky things with their legs to get the momentum to switch edges (her in particular). Cleaning that up would help.

I would say overall this was a good start to the Mrazeks Senior debut. Two very deep Challengers, where they skated well with solid scores.

Yes I'm going to give them a season to get set in Seniors before I have really high expectations.

And I do have to say all you ubers having your hissy fits after the short, guys. This is early, they missed an element in that. They are well positioned.

I'm concerned about Green & Parsons myself.
trying to reason with me is a fruitless exercise the heart wants what it wants

I'm hoping G/P are taking this time to retool their programs and get them better because I enjoy them as well and want them to do well.

I'm not depressed about G&P but a little concerned. They are most likely to really pick up from here.

US has good dance!

And I hope both teams do really well but a bit less well than Haw/Bak. The heart wants what it wants.
truthfully I like all these teams lolol I'm actually very easy to entertain they could go in any order for me I just want to see them skate well and be celebrated (also I wouldn't mind Chock/Bates being knocked down some especially by h/b who have been chronically undermarked)

I was concerned until I read over the protocols yesterday. The RD issues are entirely fixable. The FD is fabulous.

GreenP, on the other hand... There wasn't anything that really stood out in their programs as easily fixable the way CarPon's RD issue is. The judges just really didn't like what they had to offer. That being said, Michael was definitely having some issues with stamina and that did impact their programs, but still...

This is off topic, but the Mrazeks really should have done a "Fight for Your Right (to Party)" RD, which would have been fun and appropriate for a young sibling team rather than their snoozefest of an RD. And NO Black Swan FD or Swan Lake or anything fowl-related.

ok so the skating is terrible (probably not worth what they will get scored but whatever) but i would literally die of embarrassment if this was my program

A true figure skater ballerina danseuse is not allowed to die of embarrassment.

We die only of broken boots, broken laces, and broken music recordings. Maybe an ingrown toenail. But never your embarrassment.

(Tosses long feather boa over shoulder, skates dramatically to center ice, trips on feather boa, face plants)

You see! NO SHAME
