I am actually fine with backflips being considered a legal air position variation so long as it has an axel, lutz, flip, loop, salchow, or toeloop entrance and is only considered correct if landed on one foot.
It turns out that one of the best ways to respond to a phone call is to say, "I am having lunch at a winery in Argentina right now. Can we deal with this later?" Who knew?
A whole blade picked Flip, that is a so-called "Floop", is actually a Loop jump from a crossover entrance. A whole blade picked Lutz is actually a Loop jump from a cross roll or circle eight entrance.
