Yuzuru Hanyu Cheer Thread

A Chinese fan has made a Seimei version with no fall. She uses several news clips of DOI Day 1 to replaces the parts of the falls. http://www.bilibili.com/video/av2470500/

So this is how the program will look like without falls, I have to say it's still empty but it's June so no worry.

As a fan I will always try my best to like his taste especially in costume. But personally I'd rather see him Kimono than in Johnny's unitard.

I still can't believe he landed a quad loop-3 axel sequence in an exhibition - I wonder if that'll be attempted in a competition this season? Why not go for 20+ points in one jumping pass.

I think the program is a nice surprise, and he's less stiff with his shoulders than I remember. Incredibly talented. It's going to be interesting to see how he goes for it this year with the field getting so staked, I'm predicting that he'll be at his careers peak condition and look pretty awesome.

I hope the Chopin is a no-go. It's basically a poor man's 'Elegie' by Chan. Much like Fernandez's 'Black Betty' is a rehash of Hanyu's 'Parisienne Walkways'. Is Buttle that tapped out already?

Oh please. Being influenced by someone's style does not equal becoming that person. Hanyu's being Hanyu by costuming the way he ikes, instead of pandering to the conservative. Frankly, if he decided t completely forgo the flowy sequined layers, he'd have me wondering what the frack happened, because it's doubtful he'd suddenly discover the appeal of a shirt and vest.

Only that Chopin is a better program than Elegie, but to each their own I guess. Personally I wouldn't mind if Hanyu revisited Chopin because he didn't reach its full potential.

Axel sequences are not as rewarding points wise as true combinations so I don't think he'll ever go for it in competition unless rules regarding sequences are changed... 4Lo-3A is worth only 16.4 BV.

I have no problem with Hanyu's choice of outfits. Weir said at one time that he designed them based on what Hanyu wanted. I like the creativity, and the costumes suit him. I don't see that as "being Weir".

I loved Elegie by Chan and Chopin by Hanyu, even with mistakes. I don't see how any Hanyu program can be a "poor man's............." We are talking about an extraordinarily gifted young man who is an Olympic and a world champion. It's unnecessary to put down Hanyu in order to glorify Chan. They both are great skaters.

I loved Hanyu's interpretation of Chopin, which was a complex piece. Elegie by comparison is a fairly easy piece to skate to, and I don't say that with any disrespect to Chan. I loved his interpretation too.

I get it that you dislike Hanyu, and that's fine. Different tastes.

I'm very interested where you are seeing anyone accusing you of being a "h8r"? But if you're inclined to feel persecuted, by all means do.

Now, see, "don't like" is easy to distinguish from "have an axe to grind". One of the methods is spotting when someone is putting words in other posters' mouth. Another is looking at the entirety of their post(s) and drawing certain conclusions.

By the time he was 13 his 3A wasn't stable enough. So it's understandable he said it needed work.
Recently he said he's not good at 2A, I think probably due to over rotation as he has used to the 3A too much.

Yes he said he is not good at the 2A. Now I understand why he singled the 3A at NHK 2014 to avoid zayak. Once he got the quad the left out the 2A and he got the quad early, at age 15. Maybe it has been like 4-5 years he hasn't jumped 2A again.

Anyways, from Sophie Moroi at facebook group, Yuzuru wrote 2 wishes, 1 for himself and 1 for all the supporters:
