Do we know what is happening with Grassl's arm and shoulder tics in the K&C? I have never noticed them before this competition.

Not sure, may be a nervous habit. I worked on shows with a good professional actor who had Tourettes that only came out when he was at rest. When he was performing on stage it would completely disappear so nobody would have suspected, but it looked a lot like that.
