Just guessing that USA has so many skaters they needed to leave some spots for the international crowd, but interesting they chose 8th place Jason Brown and 6th place Efimova & Mitrofanov ahead of 5th place Carreira & Ponomarenko. Guess that shows who and which disciplines are more important to Americans?

Or maybe they just had an early flight?

Or one of Car/Pon is sick or injured.

They usually honor finishing order, unless skaters say no thanks. But with the prior commitment to give slots to the dev team and Naumov, there’s only so much room.

I’m going to avoid the crush to get in. See you for GuiFab, if only to see what kind of mood they’re in.

Efimova and Mitrofanov represent The Skating Club of Boston. Of course they were going to be invited, especially considering they were the top-placed U.S. pair and are the reigning U.S. champs.

Of course I had monetarily forgot that connection for Efi/Mit. And I guess Jason just because he's Jason - but hopefully he has a different program to show today. I've see his most recent one way too many times. He can do something much betterr.

For those heading over. The mist is holding off, but it’s cold. Layer up and make sure you have a hood for later.

What time does this start? Peacock says 11am my time (it's 10:40 here now) but Debbie S said "it's starting now" in the US Nats thread in GSD around 10:30 am (my time)

I'm in my comfy chair in front of the big TV waiting patiently for the coverage to begin! :)
