Withdrawal of Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier (CAN), Deanna Stellato-Dudek/Maxime Deschamps (CAN) and Kazuki Tomono (JPN) from the Exhibition Gala
Ice Dance Champions Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier (CAN), Pairs silver medalists Deanna Stellato-Dudek/Maxime Deschamps (CAN) and Kazuki Tomono (JPN) have withdrawn from the Exhibition Gala at the ISU Four Continents Championships 2025 citing illness.
Gilles and Deschamps as well as Tomono have been taken ill.

I'd really like to see Samo lose the elongated forearm cuffs she's got with this costume. The dress would be much better without them. And this is a very strange cover of Bolero - starts out normal then segues into a heavy techno instrumental.

Very sweet program from Ahsun. Marjo & Zac - dressed in their Thriller RD costumes - they start in chairs near the boards, but, yup, definitely Thriller, which I loved last season, so I'm glad to see it again!

Miura/Kihara have a great, classy exhibition! I fail to understand why SOI Japan doesn't have on their tour this spring.

Chaeyeon can actually smile while skating! She has a very charming program to the La La Land soundtrack. She should think about crafting a SP from this for next season.

Jimmy's exhibition to "Gangnam Style" was the best- hilarious and well choreographed with his trademark enthusiasm. He did a lot of the original moves. All he needed was a light blue tux!

Oaf - I can not really imagine anything worse then food poisoning or stomach flu while travelling in some country half way across the world. Awful if you have to still skate but pretty terrible if you are feeling rocky and have a long, long trip home. I assume the medics bring a pharmacy of powerful drugs along but still very unpleasant.

This competition was a bright spot for me. Not everyone is as polished as most of what I watch now but it certainly reminded me of what a great sport it is from the landing of that first axel. I loved the enthusiastic announcer, fans, flags, and Chris.

It is awful, made worse by the fact that Olympic athletes are severely restricted on what they can take without violating doping regs so mostly they just have to let things run their course.

Yep.

Also, a lot of people let their mouth hang open when they concentrate. You can see them do it when they skate. But some people like that will work on not doing it and that definitely takes energy as it's one more thing to think about besides hitting your choreography, remembering your program, setting up your jumps properly, etc.

Though Kim was sick so everything she did probably took extra concentration.

So annoying I get the black screen that says “the uploaded has not made this video available in your country” - just for the women’s, pairs long and exhibition (I’m in the Dominican Republic) will have to wait till we get home next week.
