Nice 3f landing on musical highlight, 3z-2a-2a stepped out, fall on 3z, somewhat hot and cold, rather stiff in her core, but technique looked solid

And she stood up on her first 3A and her 4S! Down on the second 3A.

Really gritted out those jumps. She got a lot of negative GOEs on the triples but positive on the quad!

Very impressive start for von Felten, with a 3a and 4s that both looked good! She gives back some of that advantage later in the program though, with some sketchy landings on easier jumps.

Beautiful 3a+2t to start! And a clean 4s! Oooof - fall on the 2nd 3a. Nice L4 combo spin; good 3z; decent 3z+2a+2a; good 3lo; okay-ish 3f+3t - I think it's going to get reviewed since it has negative GOE; flying camel comes in at L4; choreo seq not that great; layback spin to end L3; kind of a bit half-hearted at the final, judge molesting choreo for her ending pose. She's definitely got a lot of potential & big kudos for putting the 3a fall behind her & delivering a solid rest of the program.

ETA - Ted tells us the call on her last combo is 3F+3Tq, not unexpected & quite clear on replay.

Taking the Kalin approach, 3a-2t smart! 4s with big grin (under), 3a fall, very shallow stroking-no power to it, 3f-3t looked under. Exciting high-level jumps! Other aspects including easier triple combos and basics need more polishing

Sophie, I sentence you to whomever made a lovely skater out of jumping bean Alysa. But congrats!

She needs a new coach, I think, for better skating techniques. She needs to rotate more cleanly and present better.

The first 2 passes were great, but there is still a lot of work to do. Rotation seemed suspect on several of the triples, and the performance/skating skills need work. Negative GOE on the choreo sequence is never a good thing.

Tons of potential, looking forward to seeing how she develops.

Interesting how Romeo and Juliet programs now always mix in music from Romeo+Juliet and one of the traditional R&Js. Has anyone used music from both films, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky all in the same program?

Time for a comeback quest, 3a with turns out and likely short 3z-lean-3t, 3r first jump that was comfortably landed, paying attention to the choreography with body but a stone-faced swan until she landed 3s, last minute sparkles, some elements gutted out, but she went for everything!

Yujae - working the Korean hair bling like no one else... 3a - step out; 3z+3t - pitched forward on the Lz; eh 3f; good 3lo; L3 flying combo spin; good 3z+2a+2t; good 2a+3t; solid 3s; L2 flying camel; okay choreo seq; okay L4 combo spin. I don't think this should be ahead of Sophie Joline.

Ted says the 3a has been called <, three other elements under review, but doesn't tell us which ones...

ETA - Ted says the rest of the jumps were called clean. That's generous.

I think it will beat Von Felton because her PCS are much better

I don’t think Kim’s PCS should be higher than Sophie’s, TBH.

Swan Lake is completely wrong for her. Most women who skate to it manage to do SOMETHING with it, even if it doesn't come naturally, but she doesn't connect to it at all. I hope she gets material that suits her better next year.
