World Juniors 2025 - Free Dance

I don't remember this program either. Did everyone get new FDs, or was my brain blocking them all to spare me?

Almost all of the programs are new to me as I don't follow the Jr. Grand Prix. Might follow it a bit next season, I think. So, unless I saw a program at the Jr. Grand Prix Final, it's all fresh and new to me.

PG/BK are easily the best skaters so far, but this FD is dull and then an unfortunate fall - not their week. Alignment of their free legs is just slightly off throughout, which is more distracting than if they were doing something completely different.

Zehnder/Sieber my favourites of the first half.

Sorry, Canuck FSUers, but I can't believe we have to slog through both of your teams' FDs before we're treated to the wonderful FDs of AboVes and the Mullens.

Somewhere, there are senior ID teams with dreams of Milano taking inspiration from BezLel for next season...

B/Leleu

Twizzles covered a lot of ice, rather open program, playful, flirty, fun leading into the serpentine steps, the ice dance point during a slide

This song is fun, but as a cinephile I must object that its exultation of Italian neorealism describes a bunch of things that are the literal opposite of what neorealism was about.

B/L look like they’ve mastered the basics and are ready for more intricacy and innovative themes

Peppy start to the 2nd half of the comp. Fist pump from Max at the finish. He's happy. Good for them.

An instrumental version "Sign of the Times" is about two steps away from belonging on the Bridgerton soundtrack and, frankly, I think NguGiang would be far more enjoyable with a Bridgerton FD.

What's up with the triangle cutout on dresses. Was it Katarina W. that had the same one on her costume yesterday? Kind of distracting.

Ed: It was Caroline Mullen's dress -- hot pink -- the same top portion.

Sigh, why are Wing/Lowe teams always so badly packaged? Sign of the Times with added violins in a highlighted pink prom dress?

The skating was pretty good, decent speed, and one of the more attractive rotational lifts out there.

Nguyen/Giang

Achieving good speed, could extend free legs more—kinda dragging, interesting shapes in straight line lift, well skated

I suppose the bad packing also contributes to Wing/Lowe teams never getting anywhere at the senior level. Does anyone have more insight about that?

I’d love to see them with a character theme and storyline to convey. Skating “pretty” didn’t give them much to interpret (or I missed it).
