Marler Davies / Black - I enjoy this programme so much more when the flute part isn’t screeching through the IceSheffield sound system. Not their best skate but they’ve improved a lot this season. They can’t have expected to be here when it started, so good for them.

I’m a bit worried she’s going to outgrow him. You wouldn’t think there’s a 4.5 year age difference.

I love the Straubs. I know they aren't going to be in the last groups anytime soon, but they're among my favorite sibling teams skating now.

Straubs - Everything looking a bit too much like hard work today but they have progressed nicely. Glad they have another year in juniors as there’s some potential but they don’t look at all ready to move up.

It was in The Last of Us II game, although I don't know how many skaters junior or senior watched the first season anyways because I thought the actual movie/game soundtrack would be all over the sport like Dune is.

Yucel/Pak - What is it with Take On Me this season? Love the colour of her dress. Easily the fastest team so far and are really progressing at skating as a pair. Yay, happy skaters.

Obnoxious, screechy "Take On Me" cover aside, Yucel/Pak have some potential. They still have a couple years of junior eligibility, so it will be interesting to see how much progress they can make & how far they can jump up the standings when a lot of the teams ahead of them clear out due to ageing out of juniors this summer.

Poor Ted struggling over Atsuhiko's name. Not hers though .... she spells Sara the same way it's on my birth certificate. Sally, of course, is the nickname I have always been called.

Kishimota/Tamura haven’t really been able to capitalise on their momentum from last season and this programme doesn’t help.

These lower level dance teams are really trying my patience with their music choices.

Vaclavikova/Morozov are really dynamic. A typical Zanni team: skate ‘big’, nice ice coverage, some issues with levels, forgettable lyrical snot music.
