I think it was after the free dance had actually occurred but while it was airing, maybe? The announcement was made during CBC's sports programming...put the programming they were showing wasn't live. This is the way I remember it too - it was after the SD and before the FD. I should go back and check the thread, because we were talking about it when it happened.

Beautiful new costumes for the FD!

Or you could just go to WeaverPojeLove on Twitter she has at least one other picture.
This was my first time seeing their FD this year and holy hell was it smooth. Those lifts were so difficult but were completed with such effortlessness, and every movement was like butter.
I saw Tessa and Scott's dance live at Skate Canada this year and it wowed me then (even with the early season errors). I found them flat at Canadians. WeaPo just knocked me over with their FD. I honestly think that if V/M weren't at Canadians this year, WeaPo would have been rightfully awarded a few more points for that performance.
Who cares.. GP would never get those kind of scores internationally anywayFor sure..it they gave piper/paul 4 x 10.00 in pcs they should have had at least 6. serviously overmarked G/P and undermarked W/P.
the object was to beat wp by any means but it did not work...being 2nd in a country or 3rd makes a diff. as to how you are looked at internationally.Who cares.. GP would never get those kind of scores internationally anyway
They were simply sublime. So happy for them. Here's a post FD interview. And the FD itself.I have never seen them skate like they did today. It seemed like they were in a dream, it was STUNNING. i'm happy that they were so happy with themselves
I was at Canadian nationals this week and W/P really impressed me. I know Piper was sick but there was such a huge gap in W/P's favour in every aspect, even with the mistakes in the SD. The fact that the judges would have put G/P ahead (they were 3rd because of the technical panel) was the most ridiculous judging of the whole event.
It's their best work.
Tracy Wilson agreed with your comment (and so do I).
I see a huge improvement from previous seasons. The free dance will just get better from here on, too, so it should be quite something by worlds.
And on a more negative note, all W/P fans should hope that Sally Rehorick is not invited to judge at either 4CC or Worlds. Based on her PCS scores from the free dance (judge #4) she clearly is the chief cheerleader for G/P over W/P. Her marks in the free dance were simply ridiculous, and bore no relationship to what actually happened on the ice. The other judges were at least somewhat objective.
I just saw a beautifully introspective post on one of the blogs, from Kaitlyn's Facebook page. It's a reflection on 4CC and the season to date in general. I'm not sure how--or if I'm allowed--to post it here. It's a must read for every WeaPo fan.
