I think being 7th will get under their skin and make them skate better. They're probably ticked off for getting edged by Iliushechkina/Moscovitch and will fight to remain Canada No. 1.
IMO returning to Muse is their best idea yet, because it was from the season where they were unbeatable (2014-15). Muse was edgy and creative for pair skating, and I liked it a lot. A stylish, mature program for a top pair.
Hi Mad for Skating.
Just popped into the thread(haven't been in it for a while)and read this post. Would just like to clarify as you kinda do D/R a disservice. D/R skated their worlds with Eric in excruciating pain and it would have been better for them as a team to withdraw but Eric has the heart of a lion and Megan is a tiger and they wouldn't kiss 3 spots for Canada away without one h*ell of a fight. They did it for Canada & CDN pairs and I am sure they were thrilled that I/M did their part so they ended up with 3 spots. As far as the placing.....Eric was holding back and not doing full extensions and they watered down their jumps to get through the program & both teams knew this and were holding their breath...Sometimes 7th place is a bigger accomplishment than gold. Kudos to them for this and I say this as a total I/M uber..I do really like and appreciate many teams but the heroic worlds put D/R firmly in my number 2 spot in my heart....As far as Skate Canada is concerned there was never any doubt they would put D/R in and they always use the 3 pairs allowed for that competition.
Megan's hair is fantastic.
