Very good interview of Trankov by Elena Vaitsekhovskaya for sport-express.ru. (see Blazing Blades) He talks about the weaknesses in Russian system, the work ethic of the Japanese, even rigged judging. He pointed out that champion-level skaters rarely go into the system (i.e. become judges) because they know at some point they'll be pressured to giving a winning score to a less deserving skater. I wish US skaters - present and past- were more candid. They're such a bore and never say anything.

So... the Prince of Verona and his wife. Not long ago Trankov was invited to "Avtoradio", he was saying, that they will join the team only in Sochi, Averbukh will have 8 days for their pieces.

Averbukh was saying, that Kulik will be helping too. It seems, Trankov thinks, that Kulik will be skating, but I'm not sure. Kulik isn't mentioned on posters in Sochi. They promise, that in November "Romeo and Juliet" will come to St. Petersburg.
