Well I don't find it that awful, he looks okay IMO. And honestly I prefer moustache and beard than long hair a la Sochi .

I hate beard (or any kind of facial hair) on FS men; Cizeron may be an exception, but only slightly. I didn't care for Trankov's moustache in the 2014 Olympics but it fit the SP music.

I know beards are in style now, and mustaches to a lesser extent, but I don't like either one, I just prefer clean-shaven men. I'm old fashioned I guess.

I guess if the Russian guys could get me to be ok with mullets, then I might eventually come to accept the beards. There's a lot I can forgive for a good-looking man with a Russian accent...but really, I hope it's just a short-lived trend that will die out soon. Plus I would think all that hair would be annoying in the summer heat.

That's not true. First, fedor had a beard way before max started to seriously grow on.
Second, ksenia and fedor are basically the complete opposite when it comes to style of skating.
