As I said, carry on. You aren't proving anything to anyone. And your all-consuming hate towards Medvedeva is not healthy.
I don't need your permission to carry on. "Anyone" is subjective. This board has less than 30,000 participants. I am also on Russian boards which have more than 30,000 participants, and more than 60% agree with me.

"Hate" has been initiated from the "westerners" against Tutberidze, for wrong reasons. Part of "healthy" is standing up for the wrongly accused.

So the response rate of your not-poll was like 0.03%?
oh, how nice to hear from you again, after so many years. what is "not-poll"?

With all due respect (which is absolutely none), I would place significantly more trust in the polls started in the Trash Can by Max Enchilada, Red Hot Chili Keegan, and all 340 Judge Judy pseuds compared to this one.

Daaaarling, i am so tried of you running off with your mouth.. just go be an assassin.

I feel like this sport sends us these gems every Olympic cycle. I no longer view her as a jump technician or even a skater. I feel like she’s a living and breathing representation of character. I love her

This. One out of 100 skaters is someone who could have gone to acting school rather than the rink. Med is that one for now.

I personally became her fan in the Olympic season. The Olympics was the first time I was really rooting for her to win. I don’t think I was the only one who was impressed by her grit and courage, and the way she laid her heart out on the ice for all to see. It was such a compelling human story — it’s hard not to root for her.

So no, it’s not about Russian versus Canadian. It’s not about her having come to ‘our side’. However I’ve been a big Jason Brown fan for years, so their being best buddies does make me a little more interested in her. But that’s not about being in NA. That’s just Jason’s special magic. :)

By the way I was really happy for Sotnikova’s OGM and felt anguished for her how much hate she got (even though I loved Kostner) — I rooted for her to make a real comeback for years.

I was also crazy about Lipnitskaya when she was a tiny little precocious skater.

I just really didn’t like where Eteri took Lipnitskaya’s skating artistically, or Medvedeva’s (I found her OG LP to be the most palatable). Or Zagitova’s. They all leave me cold. We’ll see about Kostornaia next year amongst seniors.

On Monday night (moscow time), Vladimir Posner (Russian Channel 1) will host an interview with Eteri Tutberidze, in his usual time spot. Posner's show is USA's equivalent to Charlie Rose's on PBS. Recently he interviewed Irina Viner (rhythmic gymnastics), and it is a big honor to participate in his 50 min. interview.

For the Russian speakers, here is the link. There will be a video later, i'll try to translate the interesting parts, including Medevedeva (if any)...:)

Looks like Medvedeva wanted to be competitive with Alina and coach said no. Maybe this is part of the reason for coaching change.

Sorry, but this is ridiculous. Tutberidze and her team prepared very good program for Evgenia and tried to push the technical content to be closer to Zagitova's. The problem is Evgenia was not able to skate that program. I was at Nepela and saw not only the competition but also her practices, including those on practice ice. Evgenia was making many mistakes, Eteri looked very concerned, but calm, she was explaining her every detail, trying to calm Zhenya and make her feel more relaxed. It is clear they realised the program was too hard for her and instead of risking she will lose her reputation, they decided to go with more theatrical program to cover her lack of technical content.
I think it was very clear at the Olympics, who was Eteri's favourite. I was actually very sorry for Zagitova, when I saw Eteri's reactions.
