It's been a sad day all around. My prayers are for his family, friends and all of us who loved him. We never know what may happen, and it reminds me when my home was robbed while I was at Nurse Care. It was right before Christmas in 2011. My dad had to break the news to me. The police officers told him and me that there had been a series of robberies in my hometown, and there were three suspects they were trying apprehend.

The three suspects not only robbed the homes. They also assaulted and raped people when they broke into the homes. One person had to be hospitalized because the thieves nearly killed him. So God was watching over me. If I would have been home when they broke in, I would have more than likely been raped and killed.

We don't think it can happen to us or someone we love and care about, but it does happen and it happened to Denis. How sad this is, and I hope people will become a little more aware about the reality of it all. It's a different world we live in now, and I pray people become more aware and alert about their surroundings.

Rest in Peace, sweet Denis.

I haven't been this heartbroken over a skater death since Sergei... and this was totally preventable. I hate that there are so many people in this world that find it so easy to murder. All Denis wanted to do was to show the world that he loved his country.

I know that Denis has a sister and a niece he took photos with her many times. Does he have another sibling?

If you read some of the athletes' tributes on Instagram they are commenting in the comment section and it's obvious they are shocked and grieving. Aljona posted twice in the instagram comments section that she still couldn't believe it I can't either. I mean his last instagram photo was yesterday and he seemed so happy and smiling, just like I remember his skating.

I've been reading all of the beautiful tributes from Denis' skating friends, very touching and heartfelt.

I do realize that this is my anger speaking at the moment, but every time I read the phrase "Denis Ten's passing," a part of me wants to scream... "no, not passing... he was brutally murdered!"

Not judging anyone, I swear. Obviously, we all know what happened and everyone is trying to process this. It's all so unbelievably devastating.
