TV Ads that are most annoying

Some ads really focus on something/product that is truly beneficial, but are truly annoying.

Cologuard is a product that could truly save lives, but I wish they would not use people who can't carry a tune/note singing "My Way".

I guess it does what it is intended to do, make you take note of the product. Couldn't they find people who can actually sing?

I'm sure we all have examples of most annoying ads - what's your submission?

Any prescription drug commercial is most annoying to me. :p I get they have to tell you the side effects of these drugs...but sheesh :dog:

And the Burger King one (BK...Have it your way...) is up there, too.

I hate all drug and Medicare supplement/Medicare advantage commercials with a fire of a thousand suns :angryfire I would have to think about which one was the most annoying, but old Martha and Joe Nameth come to mind!

Makers of these commercials must think we are all stupid.

There is a commercial for Cruise (driverless taxis) that I see when I play games on my phone all the time that is hysterically bad. These people are getting into a Cruise car and then having orgasms because the car goes uphill. I kid you not.

Worthy cause but ad is so bad I’d never do it.

It's not that worthy on top of it.

Usually ads that use children in them annoy me, with one exception. The Shriners org ad has disabled or sick children that are so cute that they put a smile on my face.

I hate the 'yellow' Liberty Mutual commercials, particularly the one in which a child sings Liberty3. I actually decided to not even try toget a quote from them because I dislike their yellow color commercials so much.

Oh yes, Cologuard is one of my hated commercials. 'I did it my way'sounds really silly.

I've had this discussion somewhere here before...they make me sad for the kids to be used in a plea for donations and telling me I get "this cute adorable blanket" or to "pick up my phone, hand like he is whispering it's right there beside you"

The parts of Shriner's that show the teen using artifical legs to run track or other parts of the ads I think are great. The St. Jude's commercials showing actual patient care are different.

The large-ish dancing Jardiance woman.
And just today in the Washington Post:

Add Cologuard, Humira, and other ads from AbbVie. Most of these are annoying as well:

In the 1970's - 2000's, it was verboten.

I did like the emu Liberty commercials, though...

Oh....we could pair the the local GI practice with the Charmin bears and the Cologuard commercials with a PSA.....no matter how you test..get your gut cancer check!

But no singing please or butt wiping.

The guy singing the BK ads has absolutely no enthusiasm in his voice. It definitely annoys me.

I also really hate all the online gambling ads. I don't know how it is in the US, but we had basically no online gaming ads in Ontario until like 2 years ago. Now they're constant. My least favourite is Wildz, with the person singing the theme basically moaning it.

I used to feel irritated by her but after some thinking I thought it was actually a well made commercial. A large woman dancing is more in line with the majority, instead of a ballerina type body. The song is cute. " Little pill with a big story to tell". She feels confident about herself, despite her weight issue. Still, it's getting boring to listen to the song and watch the dance.

What irritates me about all the A1C commercials is they make that variable so important, as if your whole health depends on it. Of course those with diabetes (I am one) have to control it, but there are many ways to do it. It's not like this Medicine would fix all the health issues.

The Claritin commercial where it's spring and the kids wake up the parents to go outside and make, what, grass angels (instead of snow angels)? All while hearing, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year".

I am not a fan of that song anyway, and get tired of it during the Christmas season. Now with this commercial going all spring, summer and fall, I hear this song all year long.

During Christmas season when ASPCA plays sad songs to ask for donations, I find it annoying. Yes, it is sad that the animals in shelters are suffering and they do need donations, but why make happy songs sound sad? In a way I can answer my own question, but I would really like them to use other sad songs, not the Christmas ones.

My most hated commercial:

xxx - check
yyy- check
zzz- check

Check check and check

I am forgetting the company and the product but I will find out while watching tv, and edit this post.

Any commercial that uses popular songs and sing them in very sad voice, to get people to donate to their cause.

I just turned off the tv when they started singing Amazing Grace, with photo of a child.

Another one is a very sad 'Wonderful world' to save Tigers.

There are more.

I am not against any of these causes. I just don't like the fake sad voice to ask for donations. I will be perfectly happy with a brief narration about tigers or children or pets or whatever else.

The name is Rinvoq.

Another commercial that annoys me is where a child keeps asking Why Why Why.....

Current car commercial that annoys me is the family driving and listening to a podcast/story about a "bearsquatch". Kid asks what's a "bearsquatch"? Dad says he thought he was asleep and Mom says he'll never sleep again (presumably since he will be so traumatized and scared of a fictional creature). Really annoying cause 1) it's on way too often 2) just tell the kid it's a made up thing (which it is) 3) the kid is not that little so should be able to sleep through the night. I am analyzing this dumb commercial way too much! lol
